I was in the middle of putting my kid’s swing set away for the winter season and I could smell something wonderful wafting out of my neighbor Sally’s house. I thought to myself, “Sal is always wandering over here when I have something good cooking so I’m going to repay the favor.” I set my tools down on the ground and mosied on over to Sally’s front porch. I rang the doorbell, something Miss Sally never does, and waited for her to answer.
When sally opened the door she had a steaming bowl of what appeared to be some sort of chowder in her hands. “Here you go,” Sally said and gave me the bowl. Geez Louise, Sally is right on top of things today! I took a bite and instantly fell in love with the robust flavors of bacon, corn, and bell pepper. You’re going to love this recipe as much as Sally and I do.
