It’s About Time You Gave This Recipe A Try!

Boy, am I looking forward to cooking all kinds of festive meals during the holidays! We all really enjoy the fancy dishes, but I have to admit last year I was starting to dream about good old comfort food that wouldn’t take hours to make.

That’s why this year I am going to include this garlic bacon mac and cheese in the menu. It is essentially macaroni and cheese with a savory upgrade, perfectly festive enough for any occasion. And it isn’t difficult at all to make!

You won’t need any special ingredients here, nothing too fancy – and the simple ingredients combine to make a really hearty dish. However, there is something besides garlic and bacon that really takes this to the next level! As a side dish, this  would go nicely with a wide range of chicken or pork recipes, or you can just serve a larger portion with a side salad and have a really quick and easy meal to warm you up on a cold midweek night.

This Dish Is Husband-Approved And Kid-Friendly!

When I was a kid, we had pork chops almost once a week. They were inexpensive, simple, and easy to cook for a larger crowd since there were so many of us. Not to mention it was my Dad’s favorite dish! My Mom used to always cook pork chops in a cast iron skillet on the stove top. Then she used the drippings to make a delicious gravy. I really loved the dish, too, but now that I’ve tried this one I must say this is probably even better!

These pork chops are possibly the most delicious ones I’ve ever tried. The best part is, you only quickly cook them on both sides in the skillet, and the oven will do the rest for you. They turn out really moist and tasty, and they don’t even necessarily need gravy to go with them. My favorite way of serving these is with mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables!

There are always two versions of a recipe—one, the traditional rich version; and the other the modified, healthier version. If we will only choose for flavor, we will always choose the traditional one. The one that uses full cream milk instead of low fat. The one that uses original cream cheese instead of lite. The ones that uses heavy cream instead of just milk. However, we sometimes really need to watch over our health. Living a healthy (okay, maybe not totally!) lifestyle will allow us to enjoy food more. The best way to do this is to eat in moderation. Or find the best alternative dish to the original.

Our family loves to eat. Even the ones who have joined our family by marriage, learned to love food because of our family. Lately some of my uncles have had health issues, so my aunts have had to find new ways to make delicious food that fits their dietary restrictions. My aunts keep recreating dishes that will allow their husbands to still eat great meals without sacrificing their health.

Keep the fun going all night long with this tasty fried ravioli appetizer! It may sound complicated, but you aren’t actually making ravioli from scratch. Simply purchase the store-bought frozen variety, bread them, and fry them up!

Sprinkle with parmesan and serve with your choice of dip. I’d recommend marinara as a first option! Try experimenting with different types of ravioli as well – like spinach and cheese, or even a meat filling. This recipe makes 24 cheese ravioli, but feel free to make a double batch – why not?!

Fast-Making Meaty Deliciousness

Swedish Meatballs deliver a classic creamy and savory flavor and are really quick to make. I had some Swedish meatballs a few weeks ago at my usual tailgate spot, and I loved them so much, I just had to hunt down a recipe for them to share with you.

Fast-cooking recipes such as these are great for parties, tailgates, and midweek dinners. Just pair with your favorite pasta, and there you have it! These aren’t the Italian-style meatballs that most people are used to, but if you like savory and creamy sauces, you’ll really enjoy meatballs this way.

I think that you could practically drink this gravy. And yes, as the original recipe provider suggests, you may want to make a bit extra sauce if you are using broad egg noodles or something similar. This recipe is best if you have enough gravy that it can really soak into the pasta; that way, the savory flavor really takes hold, and you can make that great meaty taste stretch that much further.

These Salmon Croquettes With Creamy Dill Sriracha Dip make for a great party appetizer that people of all ages and tastes will love, but a hearty serving of them also makes for a good main course for a full meal at home.  That unique salmon flavor is still distinct enough in this dish to let you know that it is there, but it is balanced and subdued enough by the other ingredients that even people who aren’t exactly wowed by salmon will find flavors to enjoy.

I have to admit, my relationship with salmon wasn’t exactly love at first bite; it was more something that I grew to appreciate over time.  Even in the early days, though, well before I enjoyed salmon as much as I do now, I always liked salmon croquettes when Mother made them.  Yes, the salmon taste is still there, but it’s rather subtle; the other ingredients combine to yield a treat that is well balanced and has depth of savory flavor without being too overpowering in any given direction.
