“This will be my go to biscuit recipe from now on. I have not made scratch biscuits for quite awhile. These were so easy never again will I use canned biscuits.”

It really is that simple to make these delightful self-rising biscuits, folks. There’s no fancy footwork involved in this recipe. All you need is butter, some milk or buttermilk (which ever tickles your fancy), and self-rising flour. Once you make these delicious little biscuits, you won’t be able to keep your hands off of them. My family absolutely adores these homemade biscuits and devours them as soon as they come out of the oven!

These biscuits are perfect served with any kind of dinner, but I have been known to munch on them as they are… Straight from the oven, with some butter on top – yum! Or maybe add a slice of your favorite cheese, and some marmalade. I’m telling you, it’s the perfect snack with a cup of tea!

Once you give these a try, you will never want to have another store bought biscuit again. These are the real deal!

Amish, appetizer, Aunt Nellie's pickled beets, bay leaves, black pepper, canning, Clabber Girl, cloves, Daisy, Dole, domino sugar, eat, egglands best, food, Gold Medal, Heinz cider vinegar, Hellman, Kraft, Land O Lakes, McCormick, Morton, onion, Pennsylvania Dutch, pickled, recipe, red beets, salt, TruMoo, Wesson

Pickled eggs and red beets are known as a “Pennsylvania Dutch” recipe. This is because of its Amish roots. Homemade beet brine with beets fresh from the family garden slowly pickle the hard boiled eggs to a purple perfection. You have the option of canning your creation of beets and eggs or storing them in the refrigerator. Both methods keep the food fresh for months.

My family loves this recipe and once we finish a jar, you can find my kids pulling another off the shelf. Pickled red beets and eggs make lovely gifts to pass out to your friends and family. Seriously, everyone loves receiving a home-cooked jar of canned goods. I enjoy eating these beets and eggs as a light lunch with a tall glass of iced tea.

Whether it’s for a Super Bowl party or a snack for your family to munch on, Crock Pot buffalo chicken dip is divine! This spicy treat pairs well with Doritos, Tostitos, or any sort of taco chip. We like to place the dip into Aztec flour tortillas and eat it on taco night. Just add some lettuce, Pace salsa, and a dollop of Daisy sour cream for a complete Mexicana meal!

This appetizer is totally simple to make. All you do is toss your ingredients into the Crock Pot and set it on low for a few hours. Give it a few stirs every now and then and that’s it! Soon, you’ll be diving into this savory dip with your favorite chips. If you should happen to have any leftovers, we’ve heard the dip tastes better the second time around. However, we’ve never experienced that because our buffalo chicken dip get’s wolfed down on the first go.

appetizer, barilla marinara, basil, Buitoni ravioli, buttermilk, celentano ravioli, cheese ravioli, classico marinara, egg, Eggland's Best eggs, fried ravioli, great value ravioli, kikkoman panko bread crumbs, Marinara, olive oil, panko, panko breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, prego marinara, Progresso bread crumbs, Progresso breadcrumbs, Progresso panko bread crumbs, Progresso panko breadcrumbs, seasoned breadcrumbs, wal mart

Keep the fun going all night long with this tasty fried ravioli appetizer! It may sound complicated, but you aren’t actually making ravioli from scratch. Simply purchase the store-bought frozen variety, bread them, and fry them up!

Sprinkle with parmesan and serve with your choice of dip. I’d recommend marinara as a first option! Try experimenting with different types of ravioli as well – like spinach and cheese, or even a meat filling. This recipe makes 24 cheese ravioli, but feel free to make a double batch – why not?!
