My husband and I are planning to have a little makeover for the house. The twins’ bedroom wallpaper of flowers and bees have to go. They’re a bit older for those now. We planned it last year, but we got a bit busy with other things. We’re not the type of parents who will hire someone to do something that we both can do. In fact, when I found out I was pregnant, the two of us were the ones who decorated the nursery for the twins. A few nights ago, over the dinner of the tastiest Italian casserole recipe, we finally decided on our game plan.

This time, we wanted the wallpaper gone in the boys’ room. We planned to replace it with light blue paint. We also planned on replacing the beds of the twins as they are a bit worn out. Our sons had that phase wherein they just wanted to jump on their beds when the parents weren’t looking.

We were both so concentrated on our plans that we didn’t notice we almost finished the small baking dish of the Italian casserole. Okay, I only have our stomachs to blame for that.

Quick Tip: If you are having troubles getting the entire casserole in a 3qt. baking dish, you might want to make 2 smaller ones and put one in the freezer.

Have you ever wanted pizza and chicken at the same time? I am a foodaholic, so I’m always craving weird combinations. One day, I had a hankering for chicken, cheese, and pepperoni (no, I wasn’t pregnant). I came across this recipe for pepperoni chicken and assumed that God had heard my prayers.

This is seriously one of the best versions of chicken cordon bleu I’ve ever had. It’s like eating a chicken pizza without the crust. My kids got a kick out of the pepperoni’s sitting on top of the chicken breasts. It doesn’t take much to amuse us lol. Try something new for dinner tonight and make this awesome meal. You’ll be glad you did!

Quick Tip: I like to add a few basil leaves from my herb garden as a garnish to the top of this dish. It looks pretty and tastes great!

casserole, dinner idea, Dole spinach, eat, food, Gold Medal all-purpose flour, Hood heavy cream, Italian, Kraft parmesan cheese, land o lakes unsalted butter, McCormick nutmeg, pasta, pasta dinner, pepper, Polly-o mozzarella cheese, quick dinner, ReaLemon lemon juice, Ronzoni jumbo pasta shells, Stuffed shells

This one was just too good to pass by, I just had to share it! If you love Italian food as much as I do then stuffed shells are a must for any occasion. Stuffing options are endless, but I love this version I came across with spinach and ricotta. Sneaking in veggies without compromising flavor is a win-win in my book!

Super creamy with the perfect hint of a lemon-y tang, combined with a slightly crispy parmesan crust will take you on a tasty tour of Italy. This recipe bakes in a quick 20 minutes and serves enough for company. I know what’s for dinner tonight in my home!

Did somebody say Stromboli?! Yes, yet another way to eat your pizza that is perfectly dippable! Make it as “homemade” as you’d like, or use store-bought ingredients for a short-cut version that’s just as scrumptious.

This Stromboli is a fantastic appetizer idea for your next get-together, or even a tasty lunch idea. It reheats well to take to work throughout the week, or make a double batch and freeze it for when you’re in a pinch. You can’t go wrong with Italian food and this Stromboli won’t disappoint!
