Good evening ladies and gentlemen! Tonight, we’ll be stepping out of our comfort zones and head on down the dusty trail of new tantalizing new foods. First stop, the Quinoa Highway.

If you aren’t familiar with quinoa, know this: it’s a grain from the Gods. Quinoa has been used in recipes for since ancient times. This great little grain makes a wonderful substitute for traditional noodles when making soups and stews. Plus, it’s packed with an assortment of good-for-you vitamins. We’re confident that once you cook up your first pot of quinoa vegetable soup, you’ll be hooked for life.

If you’re a fan of hearty vegetables swimming in a sea of savory broth, you’ve come to the right place. Nothing is better than a steaming bowl of soup on a chilly day. In fact, I enjoy soup so much that I eat it even when the days are bright and sunny, and I know you will too!

When I first saw these figgadelic treats, I thought they were straight up out of a gourmet bakery. There would be no way I could ever make these in my own kitchen, right? Wrong! They are super easy to throw together in a few minutes. Plus, they look super dainty and sweet when nestled on top of tissue paper that rests on a pretty plate. Serve your tea party guests up a few of these figgy darlings and watch their eyes roll back into their heads in utter food ecstasy.

I don’t know about you, but sipping on a fresh Orange Julius is one of my favorite things to do during the hot summer months. However, I’m a bit of a hermit and don’t really like to leave my house so making a run to Dairy Queen is kind of a burden. Much to my amazement, I can make this delightful little drink from the comfort of my own home. Imagine my excitement when I found this little gem of a recipe.

If you are capable of peeling an orange, you are capable of making this vitamin C packed drink for yourself. I’m telling you, it’s a glass of positivity that will warm your soul and cool your palate. Another awesome aspect about sipping on an Orange Julius is that you can mix it with a little splash of your favorite booze to make it a midday cocktail. FUN!

baking powder, chocolate dump cake, Clabber Girl, Clabber Girl baking soda, Daisy, dessert, Dole, Domino, eat, egglands best, food, Gold Medal, Heinz cider vinegar, Hellman, Kraft, Land O Lakes, McCormick, Morton, Nestle, recipe, semisweet chocolate chips, TruMoo, unsalted butter, vanilla, Wesson

Girl (or guy), are you having one of those days? Cheer up buttercup because this cake is going to make it all better. Whenever I’m feeling glum, I bake a cake. Why? Well, The Golden Girls always turned to sugary goodies when they were having a bad day, and it worked for them. Who wouldn’t want to be peppy like Rose Nyland?

Another reason to bake a cake of this magnitude when you’re feeling blue is calorie deprivation. Everyone knows that when you eat cake due to be sad, the calories don’t count. Right? That’s true, isn’t it? Of course, it is, my best friend would never lie to me…

So, are you ready for a chocolate covered therapy session?

When it comes to trying new things, I’m sort of a stickler. I mean, let’s face it, we cook what works for our families, right? But, do you ever get tired of the same old meals each month? I know that I needed a recipe to get me out of this food slump I found myself in. That’s when I discovered Oven Roasted Chicken Shawarma. At first, I was intimidated because this type of food is totally restaurant quality, and although I’m a pretty good cook, I ain’t no chef, sister.

Much to my surprise, this recipe was super simple to make, and it tastes absolutely divine. When I plated up the food, the aroma alone was jumping off our plates. Needless to say, this chicken dish is a major hit in my household. I’ll definitely be making it again! Are you ready to whip up a batch of your own? Follow me…

almond extract, Argo cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, barilla pasta, Bertolli extra-virgin olive oil, Billy Bee honey, black pepper, Bob's Red Mill, Borden, brown sugar, Campbell’s soups, casserole, Chiquita, Clabber Girl, College Inn, Cool Whip, cream of tarter, crock pot, Daisy, Daisy sour cream, dessert, Dole, Domino, domino sugar, eat, Eggland's Best eggs, egglands best, food, Gold Medal, Gold Medal flour, granulated sugar, Green Giant, Hellman, Hershey, Hodgkin’s Mill, In The Raw Agave Nectar, Jell-O, Jif peanut butter, Johnsonville, keebler, kosher salt, Kraft, Land O Lakes, land o lakes butter, Libby, marshmallow fluff, McCormick, McCormick spices, Morton, Morton salt, Pam Cooking Spray, Pepperidge Farm, Philadelphia cream cheese, Powdered sugar, recipe, Ritz crackers, Sara Lee, Sargento, slow cooker, Thorn Apple Valley, Toll House, TruMoo, TruMoo milk, tyson, vanilla, vanilla extract, vegan, Vlasic, Wesson, Wesson vegetable oil, whipped topping, xylitol

The first time I heard of this I just couldn’t believe it. I had to try – and it really works!

There are so many recipes that I use that call for marshmallow cream. Seriously, I’ve considered taking out a loan to buy stock in the white, fluffy goodness. Okay, maybe I’m not that far off the deep end, but I do use marshmallow fluff in a lot of desserts.

I’ve found that making my own fluff is much easier and less expensive than purchasing it every week. Do you want to know something else? It only takes TWO ingredients to whip up a batch of ooey, gooey marshmallow madness. I am not kidding! Just two ingredients! You are going to be so super surprised at what they are your head just might spin.

The best part is – this recipe really makes the most perfect, fluffy marshmallow cream you could think of. I guarantee, if you give this one a try you will never go back to your old ways again!
