Make this cake on a first date and watch the sparks of LOVE fly 🙂

This Oreo ice cream cake is the solution to all the problems of the world! Okay, I sound like someone who will be fighting off aliens to banish them from earth. Well, if we are talking about those cute little boys and girls running around me all the time during reunions, well, I must say they’re really aliens. Cute ones at that.

A few of my little nephews are at that age wherein they think they can be Power Rangers or a Jedi. They are starting to influence my twins who keep requesting the Star Wars masks at the toy store. While it doesn’t matter with me, I wish for my twins to get their letters from Hogwarts at the age of 11. Okay, I’m sorry. I strayed away from the topic. When these kids team up, no adults will ever win. Which is why my cousin found the perfect solution for this: Oreo ice cream cake!

You will love this Oreo ice cream cake! Not only because they taste heavenly, but also because they literally make the kids behave. During that reunion, my cousin made this to settle the kids down. She only said, “Oreo ice cream cake” and everyone behaved like little angels! Well, those are magic words for kids: Oreo and ice cream.

I managed to look after the lot of them while my cousin made her concoction in the kitchen. It didn’t take her long! Just took about a few minutes. It’s the freezing that took a bit long, but it was enough to keep the kids behave until dinner. It was all worth it!

Brightly colored cranberry relish that’s only 3 ingredients.

Can you really beat a 3-ingredient cranberry relish recipe that looks as pretty as this? I love how red this relish is and it tastes uh-mazing! The oranges and cranberries work so well together. And get this, I didn’t want to use sugar so I replaced it with stevia and it sweetened it up nicely!

Now, my husband and kiddos didn’t much care for this relish but then again they aren’t big eaters on this type of salad, however, everyone else really loved it during Thanksgiving. I’ll definitely be making this again for Christmas.

I’m super excited that I came across this recipe over on the Simply Southern Mom Blog! If you’d like to get the details on how to make this wonderful recipe please hop on over to the next page for a complete list of ingredients and instructions. Enjoy!

Some of my new favorite ingredients to use are pie fillings.

Sure, it is fun to make my own apple pie filling, but geez? Peel all the apples, core all the apples, slice all the apples, lemon all the apples so they do not turn black…it’s a hassle and takes loads of time!  But pie fillings, they are so easy to use since it is just open the can and you are good to go.  I think this time saver is absolutely worth it!

One of my new favorite flavors to enjoy is lemon cake.  It is perfectly sweet and tangy all at the same time.  I have made this as a layer in cheesecake and as a layer between vanilla cake.

They all have the perfect taste and texture which makes it amazing.  Try this cake with lemon filling, or cherry filling or anything else that suits your fancy! All of these are amazing options to make into a dump cake and with this one recipe, you can pretty much try them all and not fail.

So here is one recipe that will give you quite a few tasty dessert options.  You will never be bored of the same old dessert again!

Chinese food is one of my favorite things to eat. I absolutely love it! However, I don’t love the price of taking 5 people to the local buffet as it can get kind of pricey. So, what should I do? Why, make my own Asian-inspired feast right from my kitchen, of course!

I was so excited to come across this recipe for the 3-ingredient orange chicken sauce. If you don’t have a great sauce, your whole Chinese meal can go right down the tubes. This sauce is so good and very easy to make.

Quick Tip: To make the sauce less sugary, opt to use sugar-free marmalade.

“This will be my go to biscuit recipe from now on. I have not made scratch biscuits for quite awhile. These were so easy never again will I use canned biscuits.”

It really is that simple to make these delightful self-rising biscuits, folks. There’s no fancy footwork involved in this recipe. All you need is butter, some milk or buttermilk (which ever tickles your fancy), and self-rising flour. Once you make these delicious little biscuits, you won’t be able to keep your hands off of them. My family absolutely adores these homemade biscuits and devours them as soon as they come out of the oven!

These biscuits are perfect served with any kind of dinner, but I have been known to munch on them as they are… Straight from the oven, with some butter on top – yum! Or maybe add a slice of your favorite cheese, and some marmalade. I’m telling you, it’s the perfect snack with a cup of tea!

Once you give these a try, you will never want to have another store bought biscuit again. These are the real deal!
