I am a huge fan of macaroni and cheese. It was one of my favorite meals as a child and is still one of my favorite dishes to enjoy as an adult. This recipe calls for a few extra ingredients that I know you will love. Peas and bacon are what makes this mac and cheese recipe different from the rest. It adds color, flavor, and texture to the meal that you simply cannot resist. The best part about it is that kids go gaga for it! I thought at first that mine might not eat it because of the peas. Well, those little rascals certainly surprised me!

Not only did my children gobble this mac and cheese with peas and bacon down, but my husband had himself three bowls, too! Needless to say, this meal was a complete success at my humble abode, and I know it will be at yours, too 🙂

Quick Tip: Make sure you fry your bacon until it is very crisp. You don’t want soggy, floppy bacon in your mac and cheese.

bacon, baking powder, baking soda, Bertolli extra-virgin olive oil, BLT salal, Clabber Girl, domino sugar, eat, Eggland's Best eggs, food, garlic powder, Gold Medal flour, Hellman's reduced-fat mayonnaise, hormel, Johnsonville, Kraft, land o lakes butter, lettuce, low-carb, McCormick spices, Morton salt, pepper, recipe, romaine lettuce, Sara Lee whole wheat bread, tomatoes, TruMoo milk, Wesson vegetable oil

Are you into all the glory of the BLT sandwich? Do you enjoy noshing on crispy bacon, juicy tomatoes, and crisp lettuce sandwiched between two slices of perfectly browned toast? Yep, me too. However, if you’re like me, you also try to watch your carbohydrate intake. That means that we sometimes have to skip out on the bread altogether, or significantly lower or intake. Boo!

Don’t worry; there is a wonderful substitute for the BLT sandwich that still tastes amazingly good. It’s the BLT salad. Fresh veggies, smoky bacon, and a BLT-inspired sauce all nestled in a bowl of protein-rich paradise sounds like my kind of lunch!

Whether it’s for a Super Bowl party or a snack for your family to munch on, Crock Pot buffalo chicken dip is divine! This spicy treat pairs well with Doritos, Tostitos, or any sort of taco chip. We like to place the dip into Aztec flour tortillas and eat it on taco night. Just add some lettuce, Pace salsa, and a dollop of Daisy sour cream for a complete Mexicana meal!

This appetizer is totally simple to make. All you do is toss your ingredients into the Crock Pot and set it on low for a few hours. Give it a few stirs every now and then and that’s it! Soon, you’ll be diving into this savory dip with your favorite chips. If you should happen to have any leftovers, we’ve heard the dip tastes better the second time around. However, we’ve never experienced that because our buffalo chicken dip get’s wolfed down on the first go.

When it comes to the ultimate in comfort foods, beef stew is definitely the ticket. Smelling the aroma of this fabulous stew as it simmers in a Crock Pot will give you feelings of nostalgia of when your mom or grandma used to cook this delectable dish. Filled with chunks of tender beef, hearty vegetables, and a thick gravy, this stew will warm your belly and soul.

Carrots, potatoes, onions, and more all cooked to delicate perfection for hours when set on low in the Crock Pot. Set it and forget it, lady! Do your shopping, go to work, or visit a friend, and by the time you get home, this marvelous stew will be ready to serve. I like to pair beef stew with a flaky buttermilk Pillsbury Grands! biscuit. My kids enjoy dipping their biscuits directly in the stew but I prefer to pour it on top. Yummo!

There’s no other dish that tips the table like green bean casserole. Think about it, what is the one food that almost everyone serves during the holidays? Green bean casserole. This is a food that pretty much everyone loves. It’s creamy, hot, and topped with French’s French fried onions, what could be better than that? Chocolate cake, you say? Okay, maybe that but not by much.

One of the best things about green bean casserole is that it is extremely customizable. This recipe is definitely a guide to help you create a wonderfully amazing dish, but feel free to add a dash of this and a dash of that to make this casserole mesh with your palate. I feel that green bean casserole is one of the easiest items to throw together when preparing food for a crowd. I’m certain you’ll feel the same way, too!
