Love barbecue ribs but don’t have the time to spend by the grill? Then consider trying these sweet and savory Sriracha-Cranberry Baby Back Ribs! Just a touch of heat without being overwhelming, and the best part: It’s a slow cooker recipe! This is great as part of an easy family meal or as finger food that everyone at your next party will eagerly devour.

I love my Southern barbecue ribs! You could say that living fairly close to Memphis has me a bit spoiled. I don’t always feel like spending a lot of time standing over a grill, though; sometimes, I love to focus on cooking up some fabulous sides! I was eager to break out the Crock-Pot and try these slow-cooked baby back ribs. They were easy to prepare, with little hassle (just a few minutes in the oven after their time in the Crock-Pot), and they were well worth the wait.

Watch This Disappear Right In Front Of Your Eyes!

This Slow Cooker Corn and Jalapeno Dip is super-delicious and incredibly easy to make! The creaminess is to die for.

It’s beautiful to look at, too, but you won’t be able to look long without digging in! Oh, and did I mention that it has BACON in it? Yummy times a thousand! So much is just SO much better with bacon!

I suppose that you could go without it here and still have a fine dip, but it is just so tasty and complements the creamy cheesiness so well. I was glad that I came upon this fantastic recipe… I had been looking for another creamy snack to enjoy. And with those tantalizing photos, combined with all the ease of a slow-cooker recipe that only takes about two and a half hours to cook, how could I resist breaking out my Crock-Pot and giving this a try?

A Down-Home Classic, Made Easy, With a Little Twist

Love chicken pot pie but aren’t so fond of the crust? Or maybe you don’t mind the crust, but your little ones do? Want something tasty and easy to make? Try this.

When I was little, I loved the flavors in the pot pies that Mother brought home from the freezer section at the supermarket. (My favorite brand was Marie Callender’s.) For a long time, I wasn’t very fond of the crust, though (it didn’t help that the edges of the crust burn so easily on those frozen ones if you cook them in the oven, as intended). Once I got a little older, I came to like the crust more. But when I would ask Mother, “Why don’t you make something like this yourself?” she usually would say something along the lines of “Well, pastries just aren’t my strong suit. All that effort it would take to make a good crust, I’d just rather do something else.” And this was from someone who had no qualms about spending two hours standing over a stove to get a roux for gumbo just right, the old fashioned way.

Even some really good cooks just aren’t very confident about certain aspects of baking. And some people (children especially, I guess) just aren’t crazy about the crust on a pot pie, even if they like everything in it and love how it tastes otherwise. Solution:  drop that crust and break out your slow cooker.

Make Tasty, Easy Nachos–Without Going Nuclear!

You won’t find any bright orange pseudo-cheese or microwave instructions here. Use your favorite slow cooker (I use a Crock-Pot) to whip up a much tastier alternative: Cuban Nachos With White Cheese Sauce. It’s like a pulled pork sandwich in nacho form!

It really is a shame that most people in the United States only think of Mexican and Tex-Mex when they hear the phrase “Latin American food.”  Not that there aren’t plenty of fabulous Mexican and Tex-Mex recipes out there–we at Tastee Recipe have shared plenty with you in our time.  But if that is ALL that you think Latin America has to offer, you’re really missing out!  I was fortunate enough to grow up in an area just close enough to other parts of the Latin world (I spent most of my formative years on the Gulf Coast) to know better, but even I fall into that trap, sometimes, since so many dine-out options where I live now ARE Mexican or Tex-Mex places.  I really was happy to come across this reminder that, hey, the rest of Latin America has some really great flavors, too!

It was also nice to see a nacho recipe that called for pork instead of beef.  Hey, I love those beef nachos, too, but they can be more than a bit greasy, sometimes, not to mention making the nachos feel a bit heavy in your stomach.  “The other white meat” is a nice, lower-fat, lower-grease alternative.  And trust me, with the savory assortment of spices in this recipe, and that delicious homemade white cheese sauce, you don’t need that extra fat to feel very satisfied.

This Slow-Cooked Chinese Classic is Full of Yum!

I am a sucker for Asian cuisine.  Don’t get me wrong – there are plenty of good-old American dishes that I love, too:  red beans and rice, seafood gumbo, a warm bowl of chicken and dumplings on a frosty night… among many others.

But there is something about a well-executed Asian dish that gets me all tingly, sometimes. I can recall all too many times when I stopped at the Walmart deli, in need of a quick, inexpensive bite to eat, and ordered their version of General Tso’s Chicken.  If the homemade version of General Tso’s is like a week-long summer vacation on a Florida beach, reassuringly familiar yet also a nice escape from the everyday, the Walmart rendition of it is like a weekend version of the same trip:  You still enjoy it but usually leave feeling that it could have been so much more.

With this recipe to guide you, there is no need to settle for a lesser version of such a classic, so long as you have a crockpot and the time to let it work its magic.

The best EVER potato dish – and super simple, too!

I absolutely love au-gratin potatoes I will order them by default anytime I am at the steakhouse. Most of the time, though, they are considered a side dish – but it doesn’t have to be that way! This recipe has a unique twist.

If you’re like me, you’d be happy to have just au-gratin potatoes for dinner, seven days a week, and you wouldn’t get tired of them! With this recipe your family might not think you’re crazy anymore, because you can now amp up the side dish and turn it into your main course. Not only do these potatoes have the normal cheese and somewhat normal bacon, but these also have full boneless skinless chicken breasts which actually turns this in to a complete meal.

Not only is this easy but with the addition of the boneless skinless breasts it is relatively healthy as well. This would be perfect for your next pot luck or tailgate party. Please let us know how yours turns out and as always please share with all of your friends.

Wow, I love pies and I love cheesecake – and this amazing summery Lemon Lush dessert has some of the qualities of both while delivering a refreshing lemon flavor perfect for any time of year.

Different variations of this recipe have been around for years – decades, even, but this one really stood out from the crowd because of the little extra tweaks. The original creator of this dessert recipe has added some really nice touches to this recipe. For instance the crust has little chopped pieces of pecans that really add what I call the “Southern” dimension to this dessert. This is such an easy dessert to put together, and if your family doesn’t like lemon – just use a different type of pudding mix! This is sure to impress your family or would be perfect for your next potluck.

This is a very versatile recipe and you can change it up in multiple ways, to fit your taste better – or just to keep it fresh and new every time you make it. And I guarantee you are going to be making it often!
