What?? These Aren’t The Real Thing?!

A delicious snack is a must have when you are expecting company. It doesn’t matter if it’s a simple candy bar or if it’s something as well-prepared as a pasta dish or a casserole. You just have to have something to feed your friends because it’s the polite way of entertaining guests even if they are already very close to you. If it’s weekdays or weeknights, my friends have to resort to simple dishes. It’s during those nights that I could barely eat therefore I don’t have much time to even cook anything. My saving grace is this easy biscuit recipe.

The good thing about this is that it requires very few ingredients, with some of them you can even find in your pantry.

It also really tastes just like the Red Lobster original! My friends instantly loved it and I even had to make another batch. It wasn’t a hassle though because this is an easy recipe. I had another batch whipped up in no time!

This Copycat Recipe Is Going To Knock Your Socks Off

Lately I’ve been trying to pay attention to how and where I spend my money. I’m saving for a dream vacation and that means I really have to be careful with the stuff I’m paying extra for, without even realizing it. Eating out is definitely one of those things! I’m not saying you should never eat out – I certainly still do, when I don’t feel like cooking or I just want to have a fun evening with friends. But now that I have a plan, I would rather set that money aside.

There are some dishes I have really missed during this time! And that’s why I’ve been trying to search for copycat recipes, to make them at home. Here’s one I immediately fell in love with; these cheddar bay biscuits are even more delicious than the ones they serve at Red Lobster – and you can make them for half the price!

Quick Tip: Make these a little lighter by adding about 3/4 cup of grated zucchini to the batter. (Strain in some paper towels to get rid of the excess moisture.)

I always enjoy when raspberries are in season because they are so much cheaper to buy at the grocery store. I try to purchase my produce at the local farmer’s market when I can, but sometimes I have to head to the supermarket instead. Yesterday, I found a killer deal on raspberries, so I scooped them up and brought ’em home.

I made a very simple, yet extremely satisfying dessert that I like to call, “Raspberry Surprise.” The surprise is that this dessert is incredibly easy to make but looks and tastes like I spent hours slaving in the kitchen putting it together. With only five ingredients and less than an hour in the oven, you’ve gotta try this!

Quick Tip: The raspberries in this dessert can be substituted with cranberries and cranberry sauce for a wonderful holiday treat.

Sometimes I want to try to eat healthy.  That becomes really difficult when you love food as much as I do.  However, I have found there are ways to alter a recipe so it works in my favor when I’m trying to be healthy.  This is one of them.

Instead of layering on the bread with my burger, this casserole allows me to enjoy all the deliciousness of a juicy burger without adding on all those extra calories.  This casserole is as good as it looks and is wonderful to indulge in when you’re craving something hearty.

baking powder, baking soda, Bertolli extra-virgin olive oil, bisquick, black pepper, Bob's Red Mill, buttermilk biscuits, carrots, casserole, celery, cheddar cheese, chicken cobbler, Clabber Girl, College Inn chicken broth, comfort food, domino sugar, eat, Eggland's Best eggs, food, Gold Medal flour, Green Giant frozen peas, heavy whipping cream, Johnsonville, kosher salt, Kraft, land o lakes butter, McCormick spices, Morton salt, mushrooms, onion, parmesan cheese, recipe, Thyme, TruMoo milk, Tyson chicken, Wesson vegetable oil

I am a HUGE fan of any kind of cobbler. Apple, cherry, peach; you name it, and I’ll eat it. However, much to my amazement, I had no idea that cobblers could also be made with savory ingredients like chicken, veggies, and gravy. When I came across this recipe, it kind of blew my hair back a bit.

Who would have thought that my dream of eating cobbler for dinner would ever come true? After all, mama always said that dessert came after you cleaned your plate, right? Well, mama will be pleased to know that this chicken cobbler is the main course of my meal! Guys, I’m really excited about this one, and you should be too!

Sometimes, you want a big ‘ol plate of Mexican food, but you haven’t the energy to whip up authentic tortillas, salsa, and refried beans. Plus, if you have my luck,t he grocery store never seems to carry queso. What’s a girl (or guy) to do? Make burrito casserole!

This casserole is absolutely great, and it’s very easy to throw together. In fact, when I’m working late, my 15-year-old daughter enjoys helping me make dinner, and this is something she’s made all by herself before. See? Burrito casserole is so easy to make even a kid can do it. You’ll love the layers of spicy meat, cheese, and hot tortillas.
