My love-hate relationship with lemon started when I first took a bite of a homemade lemon pie. That first bite full of creamy goodness but with a hint of something fresh inside—I was sold. I had always thought that lemons are only for drinking. Remember those unbearable summer days when the sun makes you feel uncomfortable? The only remedy is a glass of ice cold lemonade and you’ll instantly feel refreshed. Lemonade was the most effective and delicious thirst quencher for me; and that alone was enough to make me love it. And then I discovered that it could also be the best thing that ever happened to desserts. I didn’t exactly know how to feel about that.

I am cutting down on sugar because my parents are both diabetic. So even if I don’t have it (and I hope I won’t), I have to start controlling the sugar that enters my body. But there are some dishes you just can’t resist—nor do you even want to! Pesto for one. I can’t resist a plate of pesto pasta. Ever. Coffee is another one. I am literally a coffeeholic and would eat or drink anything with coffee on it. Then there’s lemon. Who would have thought that something as tangy as lemon can make such a simple dessert taste so good?

The best EVER potato dish – and super simple, too!

I absolutely love au-gratin potatoes I will order them by default anytime I am at the steakhouse. Most of the time, though, they are considered a side dish – but it doesn’t have to be that way! This recipe has a unique twist.

If you’re like me, you’d be happy to have just au-gratin potatoes for dinner, seven days a week, and you wouldn’t get tired of them! With this recipe your family might not think you’re crazy anymore, because you can now amp up the side dish and turn it into your main course. Not only do these potatoes have the normal cheese and somewhat normal bacon, but these also have full boneless skinless chicken breasts which actually turns this in to a complete meal.

Not only is this easy but with the addition of the boneless skinless breasts it is relatively healthy as well. This would be perfect for your next pot luck or tailgate party. Please let us know how yours turns out and as always please share with all of your friends.

Wow, I love pies and I love cheesecake – and this amazing summery Lemon Lush dessert has some of the qualities of both while delivering a refreshing lemon flavor perfect for any time of year.

Different variations of this recipe have been around for years – decades, even, but this one really stood out from the crowd because of the little extra tweaks. The original creator of this dessert recipe has added some really nice touches to this recipe. For instance the crust has little chopped pieces of pecans that really add what I call the “Southern” dimension to this dessert. This is such an easy dessert to put together, and if your family doesn’t like lemon – just use a different type of pudding mix! This is sure to impress your family or would be perfect for your next potluck.

This is a very versatile recipe and you can change it up in multiple ways, to fit your taste better – or just to keep it fresh and new every time you make it. And I guarantee you are going to be making it often!

Don’t Tell Me You Haven’t Tried These Yet!

Let me tell you something. I never ever thought there could be such a thing as gourmet Tater Tots. But here I am, trying to convince you there is! If you give this recipe a chance I promise you will not be disappointed.

These are tasty, very easy to make and just looking at them makes my mouth water. These little potato pillows of deliciousness are also freezer friendly. Make them in large batches when you have time, throw them in the freezer and you’ll have them ready just as easily as the grocery store version! You can really surprise your next dinner party, potluck or tailgate just don’t say anything like they are regular tater tots and everyone will be asking where you got them.

You know what my favorite thing is, though? I have two very picky eaters in the house – and they both absolutely love these homemade tater tots. That alone makes this recipe a huge winner! Please let us know how yours turn out and please share with all of your friends.

Let Me Tell You Right Now, This Is The ONLY Lunch Salad Recipe You’ll Ever Need

Are you bored of your regular lunch salad recipe? The same one you’ve brought to work every other day for the last year? I know the feeling. But there’s no need to worry, because I’ve also found the solution!

This chicken salad is super versatile and really quite easy to prepare. I used the Greek yogurt and some low-fat croissants for mine only because I am trying to eat healthier, but I bet this recipe would be crazy good with some of my homemade mayo.

Also, I am not a huge celery fan, so I used pickled okra in mine to replace the celery. It was really good – or if you like celery keep this as is! This is a great pre-made lunch to take to work because you can make large batches and it keeps well. You can change the flavors so that you won’t get bored – and you’ll save a bunch of money when you don’t have to go out for lunch!

bacon, betty crocker, bisquick, breakfast, butter, cake, chocolate, cooking, cookware, cream cheese, crockpot, dessert, dinner, food, foster farms, fried chicken, gastro, hormel, jennie-o, lemon, lemon pie, lunch, meals, Old Bay. Lawrey, pecans, pie, recipe, slow cooker, tyson, walnuts

One of my main concerns when cooking chicken (with any recipe, really) is that it might turn out dry. No-one enjoys dry chicken and it’s such a disappointment when you’ve spent a lot of time to prepare for the meal. With this one, I didn’t have to worry. Oh my, this recipe is amazing! The marinade is off the charts and really makes for a juicy breast.

The batter is great; the addition of the Old Bay was a cool twist. The next time I do this chicken, I am going to use my Paul Prudhomme Cajun seasoning instead just to see how it turns out. This is sure to be a family favorite, great for you next get-together at home – or bring your portable fryer to a potluck or tailgate!

Savor The Flavors Of Sweet Honey And Seasonings Baked Onto Tender Chicken Breasts When You Make This Recipe

This honey roasted chicken recipe comes out perfectly! In fact, the proof is in how well it smells as it’s cooking. I mean, wow, just wow! I was cooking this meal up the other day and my husband came in from working outside and was wondering how long before we could eat this flavorful masterpiece. Now, if you know anything about my husband, it’s that nothing, not even food, can pull him away from his work. You can’t ask for a better balance between savory and sweet.

It was perfectly cooked, tender and juicy inside but with the skin crispy! This really is reminiscent of some down home southern cooking for sure. The original poster of this recipe said that she liked this as a child so this is some home cooking, just not sure from what area of the country. The kicker to all of this is how simple and easy this Tastee recipe really is.

I will definitely be adding this recipe to my top secret recipe box. A gem like this should be kept with care 🙂
