These gorgeous little cupcakes are not for the kiddos, folks. Don’t kids get everything anyway? It’s time the adults had a treat all to themselves and we’ve found the perfect thing: Gin and Tonic cupcakes! Instead of having a traditional birthday cake this year, tell the baker to whip you up a batch of these fabulous cocktail cakes. You’re going to love this recipe, we promise.

Picture it, warm, moist cupcakes topped with a boozy frosting that is rich, smooth, and velvety. How can anyone pass on a confection like that? I had these cupcakes during a wine tasting party, and let me tell you, I think I consumed more dessert than I did wine! These cupcakes are the real deal folks. So, so, so good!

Ok…so it’s a play on words, but truly, who wouldn’t love a cupcake frosted with chocolate ganache?

The frosting is like looking into a shiny mirror of chocolate.  I mean, you can practically see yourself!

Forget about that cheap, store bought can of grainy sugar frosting.

This dessert is simply heavenly, and super easy to make.

With a hint of coffee and whipped in heavy cream, it’s no wonder these treats never last!

This easy recipe makes about a dozen cupcakes and is ready in under a half of an hour.

Careful about transporting these ones, as they can get pretty messy, but they’re well worth it…anytime!

If you don’t like the coffee bit, skip it!  No biggie!  I do that often with my kids, and they still love it!

Or why not double the batch and bring some to co-workers and neighbors.  you’d be surpirised at how many favors you get in return! 😉

Gingerbread is a staple flavor of the holiday season. The tangy bitters of the ginger seem to perfectly complement so many dishes! What I have always wondered is why gingerbread flavor is not being used year round? At least it seems that way – every time I want to make something gingerbread-y in the middle of the summer, people give me that funny look. You know what I mean, don’t you? Well, I’m on a mission to change that. Why not make gingerbread the flavor of the whole year? And why not take it a step further with a dash of creamy cinnamon?

Since these cupcakes are a little smaller than normal, the recipe yields 24. These would make a great treat for your child’s classroom or make you tons of friends at the office… or you could stash them yourself!!! Whatever it’ll be, this dessert is packed with some super delicious flavors.

What happens when you combine some creamy frosting with gingerbread? You get a scrumptious dessert that is not only for the Holidays anymore! These little treats will be the center of attention at your coffee table – or the highlight of your dinner. Adding a citrus flair to the gingerbread makes the flavor even more delightful, and that dark rum gives you and your guests something to talk about! This recipe yields about 12 cupcakes, and is insatiably tempting, in terms of confectionary cupcake creation. Add in a kick of ginger, and you have a mouth-watering masterpiece!

Let’s hear it from our friends over at Food Network:

Wonderful recipe! Truly the correct texture and taste of true gingerbread! I followed the recipe as stated and the results were just as expected – Tangy Gingerbread with yummy touch of sweetness from creamy icing.

Quick tip: The garnish on this dish is a tasty and tart crystallized ginger, but you can use something a little sweeter, like color coordinated sprinkles, if it suits your fancy.

Meet the beautiful and so lovely Pineapple Upside Down Cupcake!  It has all of the sweet, fruity deliciousness of that classic, full-sized Southern cake, only in more convenient, individual servings. And though it is easy enough to bake for an everyday family treat, it will also be well received at most any gathering.

I remember eating plenty of pineapple upside down cake as a child when I would visit Grandmother in Hazlehurst, Mississippi.  It’s so easy to make, even though you’re technically baking a cake from scratch, and it has a flavor loved by people young and old (and in between) alike.  She never made it into cupcakes, though.  It is such a clever idea and it brings a touch of fresh air to this classic, yet delicious recipe.

Believe me, I know how it is when you’re going through the last of a few big events in a row and just need that ONE MORE THING that will complete the spread and keep all of the guests happy without being too boring or too out of place.  These cupcakes really are great for any special event, big or small, and they’re just out of the ordinary enough to feel and taste special while still giving you some classically delicious dessert flavors.

These Peanut Butter Cookie-Cupcakes bring all of those beloved childhood treats together in one delicious dessert. They’re really quick and easy to make.  Your children will love them, and so will you!  I need to warn you, though – they will be gone in a heartbeat, so make sure you’ll grab some for yourself first!

I loved Reese’s peanut butter cups when I was growing up (still do, actually – and who wouldn’t).  I think that I was most excited when I saw them as part of my trick-or-treating haul at Halloween, but they were great any time of year.  How can you go wrong with that peanut butter and chocolate combination, and how can you make it even better?  Put it in this recipe.  It’s seriously yummy!
