Just 15 minutes of basic cooking, a little prep, 20 minutes of baking, and you can have this Quinoa Banana Nut Bread ready. And with a good helping of essential vitamins, fiber, and protein, this dessert isn’t just good but also surprisingly good for you. I have always enjoyed banana nut bread (rare is the time I’ve passed up getting some of it when I happen to pass by it at Kroger), but I can’t say that I have tried a healthy, gluten-free banana nut bread recipe before now. Well, I give this two yums up, and as easy as it is to make, I’m sure it will be making plenty more appearances in my kitchen in the future.

 

I have several friends with celiac disease and sometimes it’s difficult to find a nice gluten-free recipe. I always want to serve something delicious, and many of those gluten-free dessert have seemed a bit on the dry side. This banana bread is such a wonderful exception!

Now, These Are Some Festively Delicious Muffins!

My sister cannot stand pumpkin. For her, fall is such an awful recipe season – everything you see online and in the magazines seem to be pumpkin this, pumpkin that.

So during fall I won’t even try to make her taste anything with pumpkin in it! I know she would hate it, just thinking about it – even if she liked the taste. But I like to save some of my pumpkin harvest to keep trying new recipes later on in the winter. And this is one of the recipes I used to completely surprise my sister. She loved the muffins so much she almost didn’t believe there was pumpkin involved!

These Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffins come with a delicious Walnut Streusel and will do nicely for most any occasion. Change things up by trying different frostings or glazes. These bite-sized sweet treats can be prepped and baked in just 45 minutes! How’s that for a perfect dessert for your next special dinner!

I remember back when I was a kid and my friends would go crazy over a jar of Nutella… They’d pick a spoon (the bigger, the better) and start scooping that stuff straight from the jar, while I just had a taste and didn’t quite get it. I don’t know what I was thinking back then! But I sure have been trying to correct my mistake over the years!

That delicious Nutella flavor combines nicely with the classic “pie spices” to create a great sweet treat for fall and winter; these incredible Nutella Pumpkin Cookie Bars. I was a late-comer to the Nutella party, but I have to say, it’s a rather versatile ingredient. Of course, it tastes great just as a simple spread (on bread or what have you), but why settle for that, when you can use it to make such yummy cookies?

Not bad for only seven ingredients, eh? It’s such a breeze to make, and with the combination of strawberry cream cheese and cinnamon sugar, it has the perfect flavors for all seasons. It also is very easily expanded, should you have an extra-large group to feed.

This Maple Bacon Monkey Bread is a bit on the daring side, but with the right ingredients, a bit of a savory addition to a sweet treat can turn out brilliantly. It’s a surprisingly fast and easy recipe that will soon become the favorite of your whole family. When I say that everything is better with bacon, I normally make an exception for dessert items. But I am one to try anything at least once (I was the ten-year-old who never needed a kid’s menu to find something I’d eat at a nice restaurant), and this… well, it works.

Needless to say, if I’d had this as a breakfast item back in the day, I’d have eaten breakfast a lot more than I actually did. That’s why I try to make this delicious breakfast for my kids at least a few times a month.

I know it is a bit sugary but if you substitute the sugar with stevia baking blend there is no negative impact on your glycemic index. Genius!

If you like a little spice in your dessert, this Autumn Spice Cake is just what you’re looking for. It has just the right balance of “sweet spices” for fall and comes with a lovely cream cheese frosting. I do love fall baking season. Summer is great, but with the sweltering heat and all of the barbecue you are usually eating, dessert options can be a bit limited. Cooler weather makes for many more options for great cakes.

 

A smooth cream cheese icing makes for a nice touch for a cake with such flavor depth. I happen to think that the pecans make for a nice texture contrast, but if you’re not big on crunchiness with your cake, feel free to do without them.
