If you like a little spice in your dessert, this Autumn Spice Cake is just what you’re looking for. It has just the right balance of “sweet spices” for fall and comes with a lovely cream cheese frosting. I do love fall baking season. Summer is great, but with the sweltering heat and all of the barbecue you are usually eating, dessert options can be a bit limited. Cooler weather makes for many more options for great cakes.

A smooth cream cheese icing makes for a nice touch for a cake with such flavor depth. I happen to think that the pecans make for a nice texture contrast, but if you’re not big on crunchiness with your cake, feel free to do without them.

This Easy Pumpkin Cake may well be the easiest and fastest baking dessert treat you make for the holidays or any special occasion. It features an Apple Cider Glaze that itself is rather easy to throw together and brings an extra helping of delicious sweet spiciness to the recipe.

Pumpkin isn’t just for pumpkin pie; yellow cake mix isn’t just for basic yellow cake; and apple cider isn’t just for drinking. They combine nicely to form a simple but delicious cake that will go nicely with any other seasonal treat or with your special dinner menu. Just make sure you have the recipe at hand – your family and friends will be begging you for it!

This Southern Caramel Cake is a classic regional twist on the butter cake: light and tender, with a rich caramel icing, all made easily from scratch. You’ll be surprised how quickly you can make this, too.

I think that these classic Southern recipes spoil me a bit. You think that making a cake from scratch has to be an involved affair, and then you see a recipe that gets you from raw ingredients to all done in 45 minutes to an hour. It’s just lovely!

Bundt cakes are a good option when you need something that’s light and quick to make. This Pumpkin Bundt Cake can be prepped and baked in well under an hour, and it comes with a simple but delicious cinnamon glaze.

Yes, I have dived full-on into fall baking season and haven’t looked back. This pumpkin bundt cake was incredibly easy and quick to put together but didn’t scrimp on the flavor. Oh, and it’s surprisingly light, too, both in terms of texture and calories. Would you believe that one slice (about the standard one seen in the photo, not any super-thin tease of a slice) is only about 180 calories? For a cake, that’s mighty good!

This Chocolate Wacky Cake recipe may be, well, a bit wacky, but you’ll love how it turns out (and how easy and quick it is to make)! It also comes with a simple but very delicious chocolate icing.

I have to admit, when I saw the ingredient list, with vinegar and without any eggs (and without butter in the cake itself), I was a bit skeptical. And just 20 minutes to bake–crazy, right? Well, I’m still not 100% sure HOW it works, but it does work beautifully.
