This sponge cake recipe is a must-know for every woman.

My mother has always said that a girl needs to have a basic knowledge of any recipe in the kitchen. It’s because these basic recipes are actually what will help you create the more complicated recipes. She told me that if I want to make a complicated stew, I should know how to make a basic beef stew. If I want to make a really beautiful cake, I should be able to make a simple pound cake or a simple sponge cake, which are mostly the base for most cakes.

My mom has her own sponge cake recipe, but I figured that sometimes, I need to find something on my own. This sponge cake recipe is what I found. It’s very simple and very easy to make, but you will be surprised at how well it will turn out. Just follow all the steps indicated and you will have your perfect sponge cake by the end of it all.

This sponge cake recipe gives you the best moist sponge cake that I have ever tasted. Everyone will surely fall in love with this once you serve it to them. Other than that, you can make this simple sponge cake into a full-blown cake if it’s a special occasion!

Quick tip: The sponge cake will bake better if you don’t use a convection oven, meaning use heat coming from top and bottom only. Also, do not open the oven until the baking time is over.

Caramel, bananas, AND pecans?

What an amazing flavor combination… Why had I never thought to try this before?! Who knows, but I’m super glad that the notion entered my noggin now. This cake is super easy to make and leaves your house smelling like a professional pastry bakery as it is baking. You won’t be able to wait until the cake is thoroughly cooked before you start chowing down. But trust me, you will want too as this cake is worth the wait.

The first time I had caramel pecan banana cake it was at a church potluck. One of the elderly ladies had brought it along with her and let me tell ya, that cake platter was clean in about 2 minutes. Okay, maybe not two minutes but you get my drift. Everyone loved this cake and we all asked the lady for her recipe. Don’t you just love church potluck desserts?

Quick Tip: You cna easily double this cake when needing to feed a large crowd. You’ll need two pans.

Hey, everyone! I hope you are all enjoying your day. It is a warm and breezy day here in western Pennsylvania, which is a nice change compared to how it has been.

I’m so sick of the cold weather and snow. However, I do try to be thankful no matter what the day brings because this is the day that the Lord hath made, after all! Do you know what I am thanking the Lord for today? Upside down hummingbird poke cake in bundt form. Now, doesn’t that have a nice ring to it? Just saying this desserts name tickles my eardrums.

When it comes to bundt cakes I’m all in. I love the bundts! Bundt cakes are super easy to make, they look gorgeous, and they taste lovely. This hummingbird poke bundt is extra special because the glaze literally drips down into the inside of the cake. It’s absolutely divine.

One of the things that I enjoy most about this cake is how I can toss things in the center of the cake. I like to add chunked pineapple. It looks pretty and tastes super sweet. Enjoy!

Lickity Split! That’s How Fast You’ll Devour This Dessert

Are you a lemon lover? If so, this amazing pound cake is just what the dessert doctor ordered! It is so darn tasty! For some, lemon pound cake has become a southern family tradition.

“Our family was blessed to have a wonderful Great Aunt Beulah.  She had a big heart, and she loved all of her nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, as if we were all her own grandchildren.  She never forgot a birthday,  and she celebrated every special achievement and event with loving pride.  This is her famous lemon pound cake recipe.”

I must say Great Aunt Beulah sounds a lot like my grandmother! She made sure to remember everyone in our big, ever-growing family. And grandma also loved baking, almost as much as we loved eating her cakes and other delightful treats! Her signature lemon cake was very much like this recipe here – and that’s why I was so happy when I first tried this. Unfortunately, her recipe has since disappeared but this is as close as it gets!

Are you ready to whip up your very own lemon pound cake? We promise it’s not as hard as it sounds!

This Bourbon Pecan Cake really is a special taste of the South – rich in flavor, yet well balanced and with a light, fluffy texture.

Yes, we Southerners do like our bourbon whiskey, and you don’t have to get the least bit tipsy to enjoy the great flavor it provides (unless you want to, of course). This is a surprisingly easy cake recipe that complements the naturally rich flavor of bourbon with cinnamon and pecans (with just a bit of salt to balance all of the flavors) while making use of a couple of simple ingredients and easy tricks to keep the cake really light and fluffy. apple, apple bundt cake, Apple Cream Cheese Bundt Cake, apples, Argo cornstarch, autumn, autumn cake, bake, baked, baker, bakery, bakes, baking, baking powder, baking soda, barilla pasta, Bertolli extra-virgin olive oil, black pepper, Bob's Red Mill, Borden, brown sugar, bundt, bundt cake, bundt cake recipe, bundt pan, cake, cake recipe, Campbell’s soups, canola, canola oil, casserole, Chiquita, Clabber Girl, College Inn, Cool Whip, cream cheese, crock pot, Daisy sour cream, dessert, dessert recipe, Dole, domino sugar, eat, Eggland's Best eggs, fall, fall cake, food, Gala apples, Gold Medal flour, granulated sugar, Green Giant, Hershey, Hodgkin’s Mill, holiday, holidays, home, home recipe, Jell-O, Jif peanut butter, Johnsonville, keebler, kosher salt, Kraft, Land O Lakes, land o lakes butter, Land O'Lakes, Land O'Lakes butter, Libby, LouAna, LouAna canola oil, McCormick spices, Morton salt, nut, nuts, Pam Cooking Spray, pecan, pecans, Pepperidge Farm, Philadelphia, Philadelphia brand, Philadelphia cream cheese, Powdered sugar, praline, praline frosting, recipe, Ritz crackers, Sara Lee, Sargento, slow cooker, Thorn Apple Valley, Toll House, TruMoo milk, tyson, vanilla, vanilla extract, Vlasic, Wesson vegetable oil, whipped topping

If you like apple, nuts, and cream cheese filling, you’ll love this Apple Cream Cheese Bundt Cake! You could probably have the cake without it, but I think that that praline frosting really puts this cake over the top. And all of that cinnamon and apple really smelled lovely while I was baking this – the perfect flavors for the holiday season!

For having such a rich flavor, this cake certainly is rather moist and buttery – and rather well balanced. Sure, a little of this cake goes a long way, unless you have brought a really hungry sweet tooth with you, but nothing is out of place here. It has a really great flavor for autumn and the holidays. Do use a 14-cup bundt pan if you have one; it will fit into a 12-cup one but only barely so. And while you’re at it, why not make two and save the other one for later (just make sure you hide it well…)
