Stir yourself up a little sunshine in a saucepan with this recipe.

Normally, when I make a pound cake I mix the ingredients together in a bowl and then pour them into a greased baking pan. However, this recipe calls for a ‘lil sumthin’ different. You end up mixing all the ingredients in a saucepan over heat on your range.

The dough is smooth and pourable and looks like pound cake velvet. If you think that sounds enticing just wait until you taste the finished product! I don’t think I’ve ever made an easier pound cake in my life. My husband and kids really liked this recipe.

I’m super excited that I came across this recipe over on the RB And Mandy Blog! If you’d like to get the details on how to make this wonderful recipe please hop on over to the next page for a complete list of ingredients and instructions. Enjoy!

Need A Cake Recipe That NEVER Fails? We’ve Got One For You

My mother always talks about her aunt Tilda, who apparently made the best pound cakes in the universe. I have no doubt they were amazing, since my mother has saved one of her cake recipes and it is completely out of this world. I never got to meet this marvelous lady – she was my grandmother’s oldest sister and passed away before I was born. But according to my mother she was a genius in the kitchen. You couldn’t have a taste of any of her cookings without closing your eyes and sighing over how delicious it was.

Lucky me, I got a copy of aunt Tilda’s famous cake recipe and it truly is awesome. People have even asked me to make it for special occasions! It’s not in any way a spectacular looking cake, but it tastes so good you could call it pure magic.

If you want, you can add your favorite glaze but this is a cake that will definitely work on its own, too, without any special decorations or additions. Just make sure you get a slice for yourself first – this will disappear in record time!

cake, chocolate chip, Hood Ice Cream, ice cream cake, M&M, pound cake, Reese's peanut butter cups, Smucker's

Everyone knows how to bake a basic cake from the package, and drop a scoop of ice cream on top; but what if you were able to combine the two in a creamy confection to die for?  As a kid, who didn’t love a delectable ice cream cake?  The end result is hardly discernible from the pro’s!

This recipe yields 6-8 servings and is quite easy to complete.  The only ingredient you need to bring to the table here is patience, because it has to set in the freezer for 4 hours or more.  The chocolate shell sauce will remind you of when you were a kid, coating your soft serve with it.  This recipe can be enjoyed by all ages, and is a fun way to celebrate any celebration!

There’s nothing that feels lighter, than a dessert that is hugged by citrus flavors. Because of its light nature, you can have this treat in the early morning for breakfast, or as an after dinner sweet note.

This recipe makes 2 loaves, so there is plenty to go around.  The loaves bake for about an hour, and it’s always good to refrigerate for at least an hour to set the glaze. Trust us, it’s worth the wait!

If you want a cake that is simple to make but moist, buttery, and all-around yummy, consider trying Elvis Presley’s Favorite Pound Cake. You have to give the cake a little time to cool, but with only 20 minutes of active time, it’s a low-hassle recipe and well worth the wait. Just put on an old record and the time will go by before you know it! Elvis had some interesting tastes, but he knew good comfort food when he saw it. He also knew how to sing like an angel 🙂

Give this pound cake recipe a try, and it may just become your favorite, too. After all, how could you dislike something that The King of Rock’n’ Roll himself endorsed? This cake is so versatile you could tone it up or down depending on the occasion. My favorite way of serving it is with plenty of white sugar frosting!

You can’t go wrong with white sugar frosting!

If you like simple, lightly textured cakes, and you like the zest of lemon, you’ll love this Iced Lemon Pound Cake.  It bakes in about an hour, fills two 9 X 5 loaf pans, and makes about 24 slices.

Most people go to Starbucks exclusively for the coffee, but they have some nice dessert treats, as well. One of their more popular dessert items is the iced lemon pound cake. As it turns out, it is rather easy to make this treat for yourself at home.

Argo cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, barilla pasta, Bertolli extra-virgin olive oil, black pepper, Bob's Red Mill, Borden, breakfast, brown sugar, butter, Campbell’s soups, Carnation evaporated milk, casserole, Chiquita, Clabber Girl, College Inn, cooking, cookware, Cool Whip, cream cheese, crock pot, Daisy sour cream, dessert, dinner, Dole, Domino confectioners’ sugar, domino sugar, eat, Eggland's Best eggs, eggs, fisher nuts, food, gastro, Gold all-purpose flour, Gold Medal flour, granulated sugar, Green Giant, Hershey, Hodgkin’s Mill, Jell-O, Jif peanut butter, Johnsonville, keebler, Kerrygold butter, key lime, key lime juice, kosher salt, Kraft, land o lakes butter, Libby, lunch, McCormick spices, McCormick vanilla, Morton salt, Pam Cooking Spray, Pepperidge Farm, Philadelphia cream cheese, pound cake, Powdered sugar, recipe, Ritz crackers, Sara Lee, Sargento, slow cooker, sugar, Thorn Apple Valley, Toll House, TruMoo milk, tyson, vanilla, vanilla extract, Vlasic, Wesson vegetable oil, whipped topping

This dessert will be on my tasty top ten when I do it for desserts. I love the pucker it gives you, along with the denseness of the pound cake and the creaminess of the frosting. Cream cheese with key lime is genius! This really comes out as if it’s from a high-end bakery; the contrast of sour and sweet is divine. Seriously, I think if the amazing Chef Gordan Ramsey himself gave this luscious pounder a try he would actually have something nice to say about it.

I made this amazing key lime cake with cream cheese frosting for a party that I went to last summer. It’s light and refreshing and perfect for a balmy day treat. All of the ladies loved it. I found that the cake went well with iced sweetened tea. Everyone enjoyed the cake and was buggering me for the recipe. I was writing it down on paper napkins!

Please let us know what you think, and share with all your friends.
