They’ll Have To Drag Me Kicking And Screaming From This Scrumptious Appetizer!

I always look forward to our game nights with family and friends. We’ve had this fun tradition for years now with some of our friends; we take turns hosting each other’s families, and everyone always brings a little something to the party. The hosts make any bigger meals, if that’s what they decide to serve, but whoever’s coming over as a guest will bring an appetizer, a six pack or whatever they think is suitable for the occasion.

Lately I’ve been trying to find a dip that would tickle my fancy. It seems I’ve grown tired of the same old shrimp dips, guacamole or salsa, and I really wanted to bring something super delicious to our next event. As soon as I came across this awesome Tex Mex dip over at Guy’s Home Kitchen, I just knew this would be it!

I am most definitely making a double batch of this goodness because there’s no way my tex mex loving friends would ever settle for one! This is the perfect combination of flavors, if you ask me, and I can’t wait to dip my tortilla chips in this – or maybe I’ll just eat it with a spoon…

My Husband Says This Is The Best Weeknight Meal On The Planet!

You know, I have to agree with my husband that a weeknight meal really doesn’t get much better than this. The ingredients are pretty inexpensive, this is super easy and fast to make (perfect for those nights when you literally have No. Time. At. All.) and still the end result always makes your mouth water. Which is why we’re making this at least once a week at our house!

This wasn’t the first recipe for tuna melt I had tried but since I found this over at Uncle Jerry’s Kitchen, it has been the only one I’ve used! Everything; and I do mean everything is perfect in this recipe. The ingredients, the amounts, everything. I don’t think we could ever get bored of these!

The only thing we change occasionally is the type of bread we’re using. Sometimes you just don’t happen to have that sourdough sandwich bread at hand, when the craving for these hits. And that’s the beauty of it – you don’t have to go to the grocery store to for that – just use whatever kind of bread you happen to have at the time!

Quick Tip: Be sure to check the amount of mayonnaise depending on the type of mayo you’re using. Light mayo is a little runny when heated.

No matter which way you slice it, potato salad has been the staple picnic food for years upon years. It’s filled with savory ingredients that pair perfectly with hamburgers, hot dogs, and grilled chicken. Who doesn’t love boiled potatoes smothered in mayo, mustard, and onions?

This recipe for potato salad is a bit different than the norm. It is actually served hot, rather than cold. You’ll also find bits of crispy bacon lurking in the creamy sauce. MMMM, bacon! Some might even call this version of the delectable picnic salad, “German Potato Salad.” I just call it “delicious.”

Quick Tip: Make sure to never over-boil your potatoes as they will be mushy within your salad.

Making a snack that everyone will love can sometimes be a chore. These pork nachos are unbelievably good and super easy to make. I served them at my husband’s Superbowl party last year, and I don’t know what got more cheers, the nachos or the game!

The guys loved the nachos, us ladies loved the nachos, and even the kids loved the nachos! One of the best things about preparing this snack food is how simple and easy it is. For the most part, everything gets laid out on a cookie sheet or baking dish and goes into the oven. It’s a quick and effective way to feed hungry bellies. I’ve also made these pork nachos for dinner before and served them up with Spanish rice and refried beans.

When most people hear the word “fried,” they automatically associate that with a high calorie dish.  This shrimp fried rice meal, however, is very healthy and low in fat!  Rife with vegetables and flavor, you won’t be disappointed with this one!

This recipe serves 4-6 people.  The prep takes the most amount of time for this recipe, so you can prep early, and this can be ready in minutes, making you tonight’s dinner hero!

Holler if you like Asian food! I certainly do and I have always wished we had an Asian restaurant in my town. But since that hasn’t happened so far, I had to find a way to make something Asian myself – something that would look as pretty as it tastes! I never really thought about how easy summer rolls are to make until trying this recipe.

Summer rolls are something I always order when I go to Thai or Vietnamese restaurants, but I never thought of doing them myself. It must be that Asian mysteriousness, but once you try these you will be making them all the time.

Not only are they exotic and delicious but they are super healthy and very easy to prepare so you have the best of both worlds. This recipe immediately became one of my all time favorites!
