This Became An Instant Favorite At Our House!

Some days I feel very inspired when it comes to cooking and baking. Fall is usually that kind of time for me; when the air gets fresh and crispy, I am filled with this new energy that makes me want to try and learn all kinds of new things. This morning I woke up with that feeling and I decided that I would whip up something I had never tried before!

Now, quiche isn’t a completely new thing for me – and I bet most of you have made one or two of them over the years, too. But this combination of ingredients was something I probably wouldn’t have thought of trying. Fortunately, my sister had tried this recipe and said it was amazing, so I decided to give it a go, too.

I love taking shortcuts when it comes to pie crusts… I mean, ain’t nobody got time for making your own, right? Ok, I have to admit homemade pie crusts are awesome, but this quiche is absolutely divine even if you’re using store-bought. Give yourself a break, just like I did!

There are so many different varieties of quiches out there, but nothing compares to this flavor combo. This zucchini quiche has all the creamy cheesiness you love from the cheddar cheese, milk and egg. The homemade crust is so easy to make and comes out perfect, however you can also use store-bought for a simple short-cut.

Adapt this recipe to your liking by adding in optional Oscar Mayer bacon, bell pepper, or even eggplant, however it is just as good as-is. Make this quiche the night before and a delicious breakfast is ready for you next the morning!

When you hear the word “Quiche,” most people think of a fluffy egg pie, with a crispy crust.  This recipe takes it to a whole new level by incorporating the buttery crunch of fried potatoes.  Now you can have all your breakfast goodies, packed into one piping hot spot!

Although many fear messing up a quiche, it is actually on the simpler side of recipes. It’s easy to make, and it preserves fabulously.  This quiche substitutes thinly sliced potatoes (I recommend a mandolin if you have one), that line the pie pan, rather than your usual pastry crust.  The only hard part about this recipe is waiting to bite into the robust flavors.  Quiches require patience.  This recipe yields 6-8 servings, and takes about 90 minutes from start to finish.  No doubt the results will have you tacking this to your favorite recipe list!

If you have a hankering for a nice meat pie, this Deep Dish Cowboy Quiche is a nice, savory choice. It preps in half an hour, bakes in an hour, and makes about ten hearty servings. Quiche recipes can sometimes have, well, too much crust relative to the filling. This recipe solves that problem by giving the quiche a nice deep dish upgrade. If you like bacon and cheese, you’ll enjoy this recipe.

You have to be a bit patient with the onions and not rush the caramelizing process, and you also want to take care not to overcook the bacon, but you do not have to be a master chef to put this together. The flavor is well worth the wait, too, though of course you can add whatever other (cooked) meat or chopped veggies that you like to the mix. Enjoy!

Meat-Loaded, Baked Goodness

It’s not your everyday quiche – not that quiche itself is what you’d call “every day.” This Meat Lover’s Quiche, as the name clearly suggests, is for the meat eaters of the world. It’s surprisingly simple to put together, too. Honestly, the few times I have had quiche in the past, it has been a bit overdone and made of a veggie blend that I could take or leave. This meat- and cheese-rich deliciousness came out just right, though, and made for an excellent main course – not that you need much on the side for something like this.

But if you want to serve a lighter meal, make a nice green salad on the side and remember portion control with the quiche! However, with a quiche as delicious as this one, I wouldn’t worry about calories.

Every now and then I love to eat something super delicious, without feeling guilty about it at all. And this one is definitely worth it!
