So, I’m noticing a trend in my baking adventures: I cannot stop making Bundt cakes! I think I have an addiction going on here. How about you? Do you enjoy making Bundt cakes as much as I do?

Bundts are just fun. Plain and simple. They look great, are easy to make, and taste amazing. I was recently experimenting in my kitchen while I was drinking a glass of 7-Up. It’s my favorite soda pop. Then, all of a sudden, disaster happened.

I was mixing up a lemon bundt cake when suddenly, my dog came up behind me chasing the cat and totally caused me to splash my soda into the cake batter. I thought all was lost, but since I despise being wasteful, I baked the cake anyway. I am SO glad that I did!

Lickity Split! That’s How Fast You’ll Devour This Dessert

Are you a lemon lover? If so, this amazing pound cake is just what the dessert doctor ordered! It is so darn tasty! For some, lemon pound cake has become a southern family tradition.

“Our family was blessed to have a wonderful Great Aunt Beulah.  She had a big heart, and she loved all of her nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, as if we were all her own grandchildren.  She never forgot a birthday,  and she celebrated every special achievement and event with loving pride.  This is her famous lemon pound cake recipe.”

I must say Great Aunt Beulah sounds a lot like my grandmother! She made sure to remember everyone in our big, ever-growing family. And grandma also loved baking, almost as much as we loved eating her cakes and other delightful treats! Her signature lemon cake was very much like this recipe here – and that’s why I was so happy when I first tried this. Unfortunately, her recipe has since disappeared but this is as close as it gets!

Are you ready to whip up your very own lemon pound cake? We promise it’s not as hard as it sounds!

It’s springtime…..and there’s no better way to celebrate that, than with delicate flavors that include a sweet and tart lemon dessert.  Pastel colors mark the season, and this is a perfect dessert that’s easy enough, but will show off your springtime cheer!

This recipe is a no-brainer because not only is it easy to make, but it has very few ingredients….so you don’t have to be Martha Stewart, to impress your friends and family.  The combination of the cool and creamy filling, and the delite of not having to turn the oven on, make this dish, a winner all around.  This dish serves 8-12, and takes about an hour in total, to prepare.

If you like simple, lightly textured cakes, and you like the zest of lemon, you’ll love this Iced Lemon Pound Cake.  It bakes in about an hour, fills two 9 X 5 loaf pans, and makes about 24 slices.

Most people go to Starbucks exclusively for the coffee, but they have some nice dessert treats, as well. One of their more popular dessert items is the iced lemon pound cake. As it turns out, it is rather easy to make this treat for yourself at home.
