If You Love Lemon, These Luscious Layers Will Sweep You Off Your Feet!

I was walking down the street last week, in the freezing cold wind, desperately hoping I could live somewhere else during the winter months. It’s not like I’m new to snow and ice – I’ve lived here all my life, but I just can’t seem to get used to it. I would happily move to Florida or pretty much any place where you can wear T-shirts and flip flops all year long.

To make myself feel better I decided to make the most summery dessert I could think of! Lemon delight is something we always had in the summer when I was little, although there’s no reason why it should only be considered a summer dish.

I found an awesome recipe on Crouton Crackerjacks and I thought it looked super easy, so I gave it a try. It wasn’t just easy – it was also way too yummy and I probably would have eaten half of it on my own, but my family made me share! You should go check out all of their recipes, they’ve got some really good ones!

I Could Eat This Every Single Day For The Rest Of My Life

There is something about vintage recipes that makes them stand out. Even though most of them are make-from-scratch kind of dishes, the end result is always such a huge success that it’s worth the extra few minutes of prep work. For example, there is no cake mix involved in this German apple cake recipe that I found on Pastry Heaven. And no store-bought icing, either. Maybe that’s why this turned out so delicious, I almost swallowed my tongue, gobbling up the first piece.

Everything on the ingredient list is very basic, everyday stuff – funny how it’s like that with all the old-fashioned recipes, isn’t it? There’s nothing fancy, yet, they turn out stupendous.

Shandy, over at Pastry Heaven, mentioned this recipe came from her friend’s 90-year-old mother. I love how the best recipes are passed on from generation to generation! I also keep wondering why the German recipes always seem to be the tastiest ones. I ought to move to Germany! My only concern is, I would probably gain 40 pounds in 6 months, thanks to my great appetite.

In 10 Minutes You Could Be Enjoying This Yummy Dip!

Who wouldn’t enjoy a tasty dip? Dips are my favorite appetizers; they are usually pretty easy to make even for a larger crowd, and you can create various flavors to suit everyone’s taste buds. I have often made savory dips to use as filling for the most scrumptious sandwiches – but with this dip we are going in a totally different direction!

This super simple 5-ingredient dip is a dessert one, although I wouldn’t mind having this for breakfast and lunch, too! The mouth-watering flavors of chocolate and cherry combine so beautifully, creating a dessert you’ll want to eat every day for the rest of your life.

There are so many ways to serve this dip; how about some fruit slices? Apple, pear, even tangerine work really well with this (trust me, I’ve tried’em all!) If that’s not your thing you could definitely dip crackers, or maybe even grab some sugar cookies, use the dip as filling and turn them into a sandwich cookie. It’s all up to you!

It’s Impossible Not To Love These Cookies!

If you love cookies and pecan pie, you will adore this cookie – it’s basically both rolled into one! The cookie part is tender, buttery and a perfect vessel for the gooey pecan filling.

These will be great to serve during the holiday if pie making isn’t your thing. There’s a little prep time for chilling, but overall this is an easy recipe. Plus, once you take your first bite out of one of these darling little cookies you’ll be glad you took the time to make them.

I am a huge fan of pecan pie but my youngest son has a tree nut allergy. So, we usually don’t have pies and other desserts containing tree nuts in our house. Now, that he is older he knows he can’t have these things because they will hurt him so it is a wee bit easier to make a dessert such as a pecan cookie and keep them away from him. My son would never touch them anyway 🙂 I hope you enjoy these pecan pie cookies as much as I do!

Cinn-Sationally Delicious – And Super Simple!

Who doesn’t like dessert? There probably aren’t many! I know that I would always “clean my plate” as my grandma put it so that I could have dessert after dinner. There would always be some sort of cake or pie. Sometimes, at grandma’s house, she’d serve green jello with whipped cream on top and call it dessert. Ew! I’m not sure if I would be thrilled about that one anymore!

But don’t worry, we don’t have any recipes like that waiting for you in this post… What we do have is an incredible recipe for muffins that will make you want to slap your mama! What’s your favorite dessert dish? Maybe you don’t know. Well, this post may help you decide!

I swear I could eat about a half dozen of these muffins in one go, if my family didn’t make me share… Fortunately, these muffins are easy to make so you can whip up another batch as soon as the first one is gone. Or maybe just make two, right of the bat!

That Fluffy, Creamy Frosting Is Better Than ANY You’ve Ever Tried Before

I didn’t know it was possible to get tired of your favorite cake in the world but, ladies and gentlemen, it happened. I am still in shock and I think I may need therapy. It was a couple of weeks ago when I made the chocolate cake I had LOVED for years, and I thought, “this doesn’t taste as good as it used to”. Seriously, I had over-enjoyed that recipe!

Lucky me, I had already set my eyes on an amazing cake my friend had made for her daughter’s birthday party. It was so delicious, I just had to ask her for the recipe. And since my old favorite didn’t seem delish anymore, I grabbed my apron and got to work last weekend!

Boy, am I glad I did because this turned out amazing! The cake itself is totally scrumptious, but that special frosting will make you slap your knees – or maybe even your momma! Who would have thought a little bit of mint could make such a huge difference?

Quick Tip: For even stronger flavor, you could add a drop of mint extract to the cake batter, too.

Fear Not – This Jaw-Dropping Treat Is a Cinch To Make!

Here’s the perfect solution to your holiday dessert dilemma! This pumpkin spice pull-apart bread with mouth-watering sugar glaze is the perfect way to pamper your dinner guests. Beware – if you’re making this in the morning, your family may gobble it up for breakfast and you’ll need to make another one for dinnertime!

That wouldn’t matter, though, because this recipe is super easy. For the bread itself you only need five ingredients, and just a coupla more to make the glaze. I would recommend making two loaves right off the bat. You’ll understand why, when you have your first bite.

Instead of a loaf pan, you could use more biscuits and make this in a bundt pan. Just make sure you bake it a little longer if you do that, or just make two loaves instead. Also, you need to use pumpkin pie mix instead of regular canned pumpkin. Pumpkin pie mix contains traditional spices; plain pumpkin doesn’t.

Quick Tip: Add more milk or powdered sugar, depending on how thick or thin you’d like the glaze to be.
