That Fluffy, Creamy Frosting Is Better Than ANY You’ve Ever Tried Before

I didn’t know it was possible to get tired of your favorite cake in the world but, ladies and gentlemen, it happened. I am still in shock and I think I may need therapy. It was a couple of weeks ago when I made the chocolate cake I had LOVED for years, and I thought, “this doesn’t taste as good as it used to”. Seriously, I had over-enjoyed that recipe!

Lucky me, I had already set my eyes on an amazing cake my friend had made for her daughter’s birthday party. It was so delicious, I just had to ask her for the recipe. And since my old favorite didn’t seem delish anymore, I grabbed my apron and got to work last weekend!

Boy, am I glad I did because this turned out amazing! The cake itself is totally scrumptious, but that special frosting will make you slap your knees – or maybe even your momma! Who would have thought a little bit of mint could make such a huge difference?

Quick Tip: For even stronger flavor, you could add a drop of mint extract to the cake batter, too.

Crock pot chocolate cake is awesome. I mean, can it get any better than knowing that you can dump all of your favorite ingredients in one crock pot and within hours, you will have a hassle free cake standing right before you with minimal work? From there I would just lather on the chocolate icing and slap on a bunch of sprinkles and go to town with the crock pot in my lap and a fork in my hand. It is easy, delicious and so much fun!

Now, thanks to my trusty neighbor Anne, I have just found out that there is an even better chocolate cake out there. Not only is it full of chocolate and bakes perfectly, but it stays runny and warm and is totally gooey and delicious. That right there is this chocolate lava cake in the crock pot. I want you to imagine with me for a few minutes: you get home from work, tired and hungry and you remember that you have a chocolate cake in the crock pot just waiting for you. When you dig in, you realize that it is the perfect lava cake. I cannot imagine a better end to a workday!

I love eating all kinds of batter and dough; that’s why even though I’m not a kid anymore, I still love to watch and “pester” people baking in their kitchens. I always dip my finger on the mixture when the baker is not looking. And since my best friend makes the most scrumptious chocolate cake, she is always my victim. Whenever I go to her house, I force her to bake something. Granted, she always catches me dipping my fingers in the bowl, which is why she just sets aside a small amount for me to nibble on while I let her bake in peace.

Some of you might remember that chocolate cake from the movie Matilda. My best friend’s cake looks better than the one Bruce devoured. I also think it even tastes better than that. Yeah, yeah, give me the Best Friend of the Year award, but joking aside, my best friend’s cake is so moist and soft even after refrigerating. Trust me, I know, because I always take home a ziplock full of chocolatey goodness and store them in my fridge for days. It also has the most delicious chocolate frosting—it’s not too sweet. Since my best friend is a bit busy lately, she doesn’t have time to bake anymore. I found a way to recreate her recipe. This one that I found over at Food.com has similar tastes but different ingredients.

You Won’t Believe How Delicious This Cake Turns Out!

No, I am not kidding. It’s totally possible to make this outstanding chocolate cake without a single egg or any dairy products. And no, it won’t turn out dry or tasteless or whatever you think vegan friendly cakes taste like! In fact, I would go as far as saying this is one of the most delicious chocolate cakes I’ve ever had. That icing alone is to die for – and yes, you can make that without butter, too!

This cake is surprisingly easy to make! With a quick 15 minutes of prep time you’ll have it in the oven, baking for 30 minutes and then you just cover it with the frosting. The most difficult part of this recipe is waiting for the frosting to set before you cut the cake and eat it all! You may want to invite your friends over, unless you’re willing to put yourself through the test with your self control. I may or may not have eaten half of this by myself, but let’s not get into that.

I just love to eat that warm chocolate cake on a very cold day. Warm and sweet foods just make you feel happy and well relaxed. It is a great way for you to let yourself forget about the stress and worries. This chocolate cake is just so delicious. It gives you that sweet pleasure. I love eating it together with the people that I love.

I love to eat desserts especially every after meal. I like to bake this cake and have that opportunity to eat. I like to pack it and bring it at work for snacks. It is very convenient for me especially when I feel hungry, I can just eat on the go.

This is one of the favorite food that I like to bake in the oven. I learned how to cook it well because it’s one of the best dessert that my grandmother used to cook for me. Well as a kid I never forgot about how amazing it tasted like. I am happy that now I can cook it on my own. If you want to cook a very delicious chocolate cake then I would recommend for you to try this recipe.

Nothing beats the classic. I always say this whenever I get addicted to new dessert recipes and new dessert trends. I remember that doughnut place a couple of blocks away from our house. When I was a kid, it was the only doughnut place in town. Its specialty was its chocolate covered doughnut that melted in the mouth. If you ask me, even with all the commercial doughnuts invading foodland, nothing can beat the one it offers.

I feel the same with every food that I grew up with and learned to love all those years. The classics will always be the best, most especially when it comes to cakes. As someone who has tasted hundreds or probably thousands of different cakes in her years of existence, I declare that nothing can beat the old-fashioned chocolate cake that still gives that distinct taste that reminds you of your childhood and a noisy afternoon in the kitchen of the home you grew up in.

So, a little while back, a friend introduced me to a chocolate cake so divine, I thought I’d died and gone to pastry heaven. I’m not even kidding! This cake is excellent, and anyone can whip one up. There are two very special ingredients hiding inside of it that I think you should know about. Seriously, you don’t want to miss out on this, people! My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Perhaps I should shut-up and just cut to the chase and tell you what the secret ingredients are. I mean, who doesn’t like a little suspense?

Are you ready for this?

Guinness Beer and Bailey’s Irish Cream. Talk about a combination of yummy goodness! Even if you aren’t a stout beer lover, you’re going to love this cake. The dark beer creates a decadent flavor when enraptured in the concoction of chocolate, flour, and eggs. The Bailey’s is part of the creamy frosting that dresses this cake up like a complete angel sent from the heavens above.

Quick Tip: If you aren’t comfortable using alcoholic ingredients in your baking, swap the Guinness out for strong, brewed coffee, and the Bailey’s for peppermint extract.
