Try One Of These And There’s No Going Back To Store-Bought

I don’t think I know anyone who doesn’t like Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. Seriously – it is a treat you can serve to any and all of your guests, and they will happily go for seconds.

Unless, of course, they happen to be allergic to peanuts. Oh, the misery! I couldn’t even imagine such a nightmare. My heart goes out to all of you who have such an unfortunate food restriction. I think I would rather give up pasta for the rest of my life, than give up these delish treats – and that’s a lot coming from a person who LOVES pasta.

However, if you’re not on a special diet and you’re as crazy about these yummy little things as I am, this recipe is going to make you super happy. I make these at least twice a month, and I would make them twice a week but I’d be getting too many objections from my favorite pair of jeans.

The best thing about making these at home is that you know exactly what you’re putting into these. I love using organic ingredients, and these days it’s possible to find lactose free butter and chocolate for those who don’t do well with lactose! Thank heavens!

Every now and then I run into a recipe that makes me laugh. And I mean that in the most positive way. This recipe is one of them! How could you not laugh at sweet treats that look like monkey poop? To be honest with you, I have no idea what real monkey droppings look like, but I would assume the description here is pretty accurate. Actually, now I’m so intrigued I may have to Google it later on, haha!

Whether these banana and peanut butter sweets look like the real thing or not, they sure are delicious! And compared to many store-bought treats these are also much healthier. No processed sugar, mashed bananas and unsweetened coconut flakes – such lovely flavors that are perfect for freezing. Oh yes, I haven’t even mentioned that you’re not going to have to bake these! These would make a lovely party treat, and they are so much fun to make together with your kids.

I love eating all kinds of batter and dough; that’s why even though I’m not a kid anymore, I still love to watch and “pester” people baking in their kitchens. I always dip my finger on the mixture when the baker is not looking. And since my best friend makes the most scrumptious chocolate cake, she is always my victim. Whenever I go to her house, I force her to bake something. Granted, she always catches me dipping my fingers in the bowl, which is why she just sets aside a small amount for me to nibble on while I let her bake in peace.

Some of you might remember that chocolate cake from the movie Matilda. My best friend’s cake looks better than the one Bruce devoured. I also think it even tastes better than that. Yeah, yeah, give me the Best Friend of the Year award, but joking aside, my best friend’s cake is so moist and soft even after refrigerating. Trust me, I know, because I always take home a ziplock full of chocolatey goodness and store them in my fridge for days. It also has the most delicious chocolate frosting—it’s not too sweet. Since my best friend is a bit busy lately, she doesn’t have time to bake anymore. I found a way to recreate her recipe. This one that I found over at Food.com has similar tastes but different ingredients.

You and your family are going to love these mock Reeses peanut butter cups! Check out what our friends over at the recipe station have to say about this tongue in cheek recipe:

“Reese’s peanut butter cups are possibly the greatest thing known to mankind, but paying for them and then only getting two?? (We don’t even need to mention how quickly they go…) We figured we’d try our hand at making themselves, and these babies do not disappoint!”

Do you like quick, simple, amazing chocolate candy that only requires 2 ingredients? Oh, you do? Well then, you’re going to LOVE this fudge.

Concocted by 2 ingredients that you probably already have in your pantry, you can’t go wrong with this recipe. Who says that fudge is reserved for the holidays? Not me! I enjoy eating fudge at any time of the year. My kids love it, my husband loves it, the neighbor down the street loves it; EVERYONE loves it. The fact that you only need 2 ingredients and a few moments of your time to make this decadent fudgy delight is also a major plus.

My husband claims he doesn’t have a sweet tooth. He also says he especially doesn’t care for chocolate (can you believe that??) but somehow, every time I make this fudge, it just magically disappears! I know I am definitely eating my fair share of it, and so are the kids – but I wonder what happens to the rest of it… So, are you curious as to what these 2 ingredients are? Continue to the next page!

Taste Perfection with this Peanut Butter & Chocolate Tart

bake, baked, chocolate, cream cheese, dessert, dessert recipe, Land O Lakes, Land O'Lakes butter, peanut butter, shortbread, tart

Who doesn’t love peanut butter and chocolate? It’s a classic dessert combination that never gets old. The silky smooth and slightly salty peanut butter combines perfectly with the rich and sweet chocolate. This tart has buttery and tender shortbread cookies as the crust. It’s topped with rich and creamy peanut butter and then a chocolate ganache that is just decadent. It’s rich, but oh so delicious.

In fact, this recipe is inspired by the Girl Scout cookies Tagalongs. The best part about making this tart instead of the cookies is that you can have it any time of the year – no need to conserve those precious Girl Scout cookies so they last as long as possible. You can also make this the way you like it. If you like your chocolate a little darker, mix half dark chocolate chips in.

No matter what, you can’t go wrong with this absolutely delicious peanut butter and chocolate tart.
