So, I was delighted when I came across this holiday version of Monster cookies. They contain red and green candies and pretzels. Yummo!

I’m super excited that I came across this recipe over on the 5 Dollar Dinners Blog! If you’d like to get the details on how to make this wonderful recipe please hop on over to the next page for a complete list of ingredients and instructions. Enjoy!

Fudge, oh sweet, fudge!

You know, I can remember the first time I made fudge. I was in my early twenties and was all prepared for fudge making to be beyond my culinary expertise.

However, I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to make. Virtually every fudge recipe has the same base. So, once I discovered how easy fudging making was I went a little crazy and bought just about every chocolate chip flavor on the shelves and went home to make mass quantities of fudge.

My husband and kids weren’t upset by this at all and they had fun eating an assortment of fudge. I should probably tell you that I did all of this in July haha! Anyway, you are going to really like this Christmas fudge.

It’s pretty with its colors of green and red and it’s made with yummy maraschino cherries. It’s a very classic fudge. Enjoy!

Trifles are one of my favorite desserts.

I can remember the first trifle I ever made after getting married. it was for Thanksgiving dinner and consisted of pumpkin pudding, gingerbread, and whipped cream. Boy oh boy was that dessert ever good! I’m really excited about making this Christmas trifle for my holiday dinner. I know that everyone will love it, especially me lol! I have so many desserts planned for this holiday season that I better get a head start on making them or I’ll be in the kitchen all night on Christmas Eve. Who am i kidding? I probably will be anyway 🙂

Have you ever made a holiday trifle? If so, how did it turn out and which flavors did you use? I would love to make some sort of red velvet trifle. I think that would be super good! You could use a red velvet trifle for Christmas or Valentine’s Day. How special! When it comes to dessert trifles you have so many options.

The layers just keep revealing more and more surprises! You see? Not only are trifles delicious but they are also fun! I really hope you enjoy this recipe for a Christmas trifle.

Fun Fact: Legend has it that candy canes were invented in 1670, when the choirmaster of the Cologne Cathedral commissioned candies shaped like a shepherd’s crook so they could be handed out to children attending the church’s crèche scene in order to keep them quiet. The stripes came later.

Argo cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, barilla pasta, Bertolli extra-virgin olive oil, black pepper, Bob's Red Mill, Borden, brown sugar, butter, Campbell’s soups, casserole, cheesecake, Chiquita, Christmas, Clabber Girl, College Inn, Cool Whip, crock pot, Daisy sour cream, dessert, dessert recipe, Dixie Crystals, Dole, domino sugar, eat, Eggland's Best eggs, food, gingersnap, gingersnaps, Gold Medal flour, granulated sugar, Green Giant, Hershey, Hodgkin’s Mill, holiday, holiday dessert, holiday treat, holidays, home, home recipe, Jell-O, Jif peanut butter, Johnsonville, keebler, kosher salt, Kraft, land o lakes butter, Land O'Lakes, Libby, McCormick spices, Morton salt, Pam Cooking Spray, Pepperidge Farm, Philadelphia cream cheese, Powdered sugar, praline, Praline Pumpkin Cheesecake, pumpkin, recipe, Ritz crackers, Sara Lee, Sargento, slow cooker, sugar, Thanksgiving, Thorn Apple Valley, Toll House, TruMoo milk, tyson, vanilla, vanilla extract, Vlasic, Wesson vegetable oil, whipped topping

This Praline Pecan Cheesecake really is worthy of being on most any Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner table, or another special occasion. The cheesecake would be plenty good enough by itself, but that praline topping really puts it over the top. I had had pralines plenty of times, and they make for a nice little Southern treat by themselves. But it turns out that that nutty, sweet flavor complements the taste and texture of pumpkin rather nicely.

This may not be the quickest and easiest cheesecake recipe ever, but the instructions are pretty straightforward. And the end result is most definitely worth the effort! I can’t even tell you how many “ooh’s” and “aah’s” I got when I brought this to the dinner table – and every single one of my guests were begging for the recipe.
