Add These Layers of AWESOME Into a Serving Dish For a Dessert To Die For

I do not know how it’s even possible but, I had completely forgotten about this incredible dessert recipe for a couple of years. I remember the first time I tasted this dessert – it was such an Ah-Ha moment for me. I had always enjoyed savory, layered dips but it hadn’t occurred to me that I could create a dessert the same way. I know. Sometimes my brain runs a little slow.

I’ve made this dessert dip for many occasions and now that I found it again, I am most definitely making it over the holidays. You won’t find an easier way to whip up a mind-blowing dessert for your whole family!

Even if everyone is coming over, you can always fill two or even three dishes with these scrumptious layers. There will be plenty of dip – but you’ll still probably end up with no leftovers!

It’s also very easy to tweak the flavors a little bit. We have a cousin who’s very allergic to strawberries, so I’m thinking of making two dishes this year – one with strawberries and one with raspberries.

How To Completely WOW Your Dinner Guests – It’s Easier Than You Think!

When someone mentions dessert, usually the first thing that comes to my mind is a cake of some sort. Which is great, of course – I love a good cake and I wouldn’t mind having some for dessert every day of the week! But occasionally I like to try something completely different. Some of the recipes I’ve tried have failed to be tastier than a nice cake, but others have turned out more delicious than I could have ever imagined.

Like these bananas, for example. Who would have thought such simple ingredients, with such easy instructions, would give you a flavor that seems to come straight from heaven?

You literally only need a handful of ingredients to make these, and it doesn’t take longer than a few minutes to have these on your plate – or should I say, on their way to your belly. Because these aren’t going to stay on your plate for longer than a few seconds!

This is also a great way to make an impression on your dinner guests. I guarantee you’re going to hear people ooh and ahh over the look and aromas of these alone.

Minimum serving size 2 cupcakes. Ok, make it 3!

I have been trying to stay away from desserts and too many calories, as I’m hoping to shed a couple of pounds that have mysteriously gathered around my waistline. How does that always happen out of nowhere? I swear I was fine just a couple of weeks ago (or maybe it was a couple of years ago..?) but all of a sudden – boom! My jeans don’t fit anymore!

Oh well, I don’t believe in harsh diets. They never seem to work, at least not for me. I’ve noticed it’s much better to have a day or two every month, when you can eat anything your heart desires. This month, I chose to eat these incredible, stuffed, banana cream pie cupcakes!

I gotta tell ya, these cupcakes are so worth a few extra calories! The filling is like a soft cloud of happiness in the middle of the cupcake. If you’re serving these at a party, you’d better make sure you hide a couple of these for yourself first. They are going to be gone in a heartbeat!

If Carrot Cake And Banana Bread Had A Baby, This Is What You’d Get

banana, banana bread, Blue Diamond Almond Breeze Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk, carrot banana bread, carrots, cinnamon, coconut oil, coconut sugar, Domino dark brown sugar, egg, Gold Medal whole wheat pastry flour, pecans, Philadelphia reduced fat cream cheese, Quaker quick oats, unsweetened applesauce, vanilla

My mom makes a killer carrot cake. I mean, growing up we had Bible studies in our home weekly, and every single time my mom made carrot cake for our guests they raved about it for a long time! Everyone is always begging her to make it for dessert and so many people have asked her for the recipe. It is certainly a delicious treat that she makes really well. My mom is also amazing at making banana bread. It is marvelous what she can do with a few ripe bananas. They were always gone in no time when she made banana bread!

That got me thinking… what if I made a mixture of her amazing creations? You know, take a bit of banana bread, then layer it in a pan with carrot cake. Well, I tried it and guess what? Fail. The cakes baked at different speeds and just totally threw everything off. So then I got to thinking, what if I actually combined them both? So I did that. I practically made a batter of each, mixed it together and waited to see what would happen. The results were outstanding and well, let’s just say I’ll never make either of these cakes the traditional way again.

Every now and then I run into a recipe that makes me laugh. And I mean that in the most positive way. This recipe is one of them! How could you not laugh at sweet treats that look like monkey poop? To be honest with you, I have no idea what real monkey droppings look like, but I would assume the description here is pretty accurate. Actually, now I’m so intrigued I may have to Google it later on, haha!

Whether these banana and peanut butter sweets look like the real thing or not, they sure are delicious! And compared to many store-bought treats these are also much healthier. No processed sugar, mashed bananas and unsweetened coconut flakes – such lovely flavors that are perfect for freezing. Oh yes, I haven’t even mentioned that you’re not going to have to bake these! These would make a lovely party treat, and they are so much fun to make together with your kids.

Mornings in our house can be a mad dash.  We wake up, get the kiddos ready, pack lunches and arrange book bags as we watch the clock to get them to school on time.  Because I work from home, you’d think I would have more time for a leisurely breakfast, but often I barely have time to grab a protein shake from the fridge before heading to my office for the day.

This recipe makes it easier to have a leisurely breakfast, and although it’s a bit indulgent, it’s absolutely worth it.  Grab your morning beverage and a slice of this bread before beginning your day and you’ll feel like you had a luxurious morning without spending the time to ACTUALLY have a luxurious morning!

Quick Tip – Make your mornings easier by slicing this bread as you make it and placing them in individual Ziploc bags, for easy grab and go.

Argo cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, banana, barilla pasta, Bertolli extra-virgin olive oil, black pepper, Bob's Red Mill, brown sugar, Clabber Girl, College Inn, Cool Whip, dessert tacos, domino sugar, eat, Eggland's Best eggs, Enjoy the gooeyness of Nutella spilling out of a crunchy taco topped with a dollop of the lightest homemade whipped cream., food, Gold Medal flour, granulated sugar, Green Giant, heavy whipping cream, Hershey, Jell-O, Jif peanut butter, Johnsonville, kosher salt, Kraft, land o lakes butter, McCormick spices, Morton salt, Pam Cooking Spray, Pepperidge Farm, Philadelphia cream cheese, Powdered sugar, recipe, Sargento, Thorn Apple Valley, Toll House, TruMoo milk, tyson, vanilla, vanilla extract, Vlasic, Wesson vegetable oil, whipped topping

There is absolutely nothing better than a crispy, deep fried tortilla covered in cinnamon sugar.  Then filled with warm, gooey Nutella, fresh fruit, and topped with chilled, airy, homemade whipped cream.

Does that sound like a dessert? Basically, it is – but I have been known to make these special tortillas for breakfast, too! It’s a wonderful way to start your morning. If not every single day, at least on Sundays. Enjoy this with a cup of cold milk and you have the perfect treat you won’t want to share with anyone!

This recipe requires deep frying so it seems a little lengthy, but it truly is not. It only takes about 10-15 seconds to get the tortillas ready so you’ll be on your way to the next step in no time.  To make everything go smoothly and quickly, prepare your station before hand so you’re able to go through it all quickly.

Quick Tip: Push the tortilla down as it fries to achieve a golden color much faster.  Keep a close eye on it though so they don’t get a deep brown color.
