Creating hot and comforting casseroles reminds me of my childhood.

My mom used to make casseroles several times a week when I was a child. We were a family of seven and mom sure could make the food bill stretch when she needed to. Often times, mom would use the leftovers from the night before to craft a delicious casserole the next day. In Michigan, the winters would get bitter cold so it was always nice to come home from school to a hot and hearty casserole. I can recall getting off the school bus and stepping into the house only to be welcomed by mom’s smile and the scent of a piping hot casserole cooking in the oven.

My Grandma Would Say, “Be Careful Not To Swallow Your Tongue” Because This Is SO DELICIOUS!

If you have always thought spaghetti is not a very fancy dish – think again! This recipe is going to completely change the way you feel about it. All these incredible flavors; the shrimp, lemon and the mouthwatering seasonings, make this meal fit for a king. I wouldn’t mind serving this to even the finest dinner guests – and I know they certainly wouldn’t mind eating it!

There are plenty of ways to tweak this recipe to your taste. I always add some chili and garlic to the shrimp – it reminds me of a dish I used to have on my vacation in Hawaii, and those flavors take this recipe to a whole new level.

But if you’d prefer a milder dish, this is still going to blow your mind even if you’re not adding chili. Use any kind of pasta noodles for this – I prefer the way this looks with spaghetti so that’s what I usually go for.

You Won’t Be Able To Put Your Spoon Down

You know what I love about fall, the most? Granted, I enjoy the cool, crispy weather and all the bright colors of this season, but my favorite part of autumn has got to be the food. It’s not like I have a completely separate recipe book just for fall, but I tend to go for all kinds of soups and stews this time of year – even if the weather is still warm!

This slow cooker recipe for beef and noodle soup has been in my Top 3 for years now! It is ridiculously easy to make, the ingredients are very inexpensive, you can easily feed a large crowd – AND it tastes amazing. That’s pretty much every box ticked, for me!

On top of everything, this is one of those meals even my picky eater devours so fast, my jaw drops. It’s literally the only soup he loves enough to get seconds – so, obviously, I’m making this pretty often. And I have no problem with that! This recipe is incredibly versatile and just by using different kinds of noodles, you’ll make it look fresh and new each time.

This Dip Will Make You Feel Like A Million Bucks!

I gotta tell you, people – this dip is so hearty and filling, you could serve this for dinner! This dip has got it all; the beans, the sausage – and look at all that delicious, ooey-gooey cheese! How could anyone say no to this?

I’m so glad I decided to give it a try. I wasn’t sure how the combination of these ingredients would work out. But this is, without a doubt, the tastiest dip I’ve ever made, and my whole family agrees with me.

It’s also really easy to put together, in case you’re thinking of making this for a game night or any kind of get-together. Just double the ingredients if you’re making this for a crowd; people will scoop the dish empty faster than you could ever imagine!

I served this with homemade tortilla chips but I bet this would also taste amazing, served with garlic bread or even regular potato chips.

You’re Going To Want To Talk About This Breakfast All Week Long

When it comes to breakfast, I like to keep things simple. Actually, I’m forced to do so because time is of the essence… Call me lazy, but I’d rather sleep for extra 10 minutes than get up that much earlier and whip up something really special, just to have the kids cringe at it and rush to the school bus with empty bellies.

There is one breakfast dish, though, that everyone in my family loves and they eat it, even if they don’t feel hungry in the morning. Omelette. I try to make this at least once a week – and I think it’s more about me than it is about them, haha! It makes me feel good to serve them a breakfast they actually enjoy.

This recipe is one of my favorites, and it never lets me down. The combination of ham and cheese, and a few other carefully chosen ingredients will give you a restaurant quality breakfast experience! This would also make a great lunch – and you can literally whip it up in minutes!

You’ll Want To Lick Your Plate Clean When You’re Finished Eating This!

If you’re anything like me, you’re having a hard time trying to fit cooking into your daily schedule. I have chosen to get takeout more often than I care to admit, and even though my kids don’t seem to mind (“Mom, can we have pizza every night?”) it’s not something I’m very proud of. In fact, I often feel guilty for serving them food that is not very healthy, or nutritious.

I guess every Mom feels the same way at some point, but I still felt like I really needed to make some changes. I couldn’t just stop working to create more free hours in a day, so I did the next best thing. I got a slow cooker and started collecting tasty recipes that were super fast to put together.

It’s kind of funny, isn’t it? It’s called a slow cooker but it helps me make dinner quickly! This Mexican pot roast is one of my family’s favorite recipes – it’s super easy and it’s absolutely delicious. It literally takes only a few minutes to throw this together, and then you can completely forget about it for a whole day!

Who wouldn’t want to come home to tender beef that has been cooking all day long in the oven?

A crazy person, that’s who! LOL I’m just kidding but seriously, the smell of beef that has been roasting all day is one of the best scents ever. They should make a perfume inspired by it. Ala Beef haha! Could you imagine smelling like cooked beef? I suppose that wouldn’t be the greatest thing. Anyway, I found this amazing recipe over on Bless Us O Lord and knew I had to try it. Normally, I cook my roasts in the slow cooker but this oven recipe caught my eye. Plus, the blogger uses red wine and I can only imagine how tender it makes the beef.

My mother would always make a pot roast or oven roast for our family after church on Sunday. It was sort of a tradition. What types of foods are traditional in your family? Let me know in the comment section below!
