A Handful Of Ingredients Is All You Need For The Most Incredible Side EVER

Hi everyone! I have great news for you. I found this awesome channel called PBJVintageCookingVidz2, with really delicious recipes! I have already tried quite a few of them but a couple of days ago I came across this one, and it was so yummy that I just have to share. I swear just talking about it now, makes my mouth water!

It’s a recipe for broccoli with cheddar cheese sauce and believe me, it is to die for. I know it’s considered a side dish but I would be more than happy to eat this, alone, for dinner for the next two weeks or so. Maybe even three.

Granted, whenever there’s cheesy sauce involved it kind of makes you think of your calorie intake… But there’s also broccoli, so in my book this is still considered a healthy dish. If you are, however, watching your figure – you could just halve the sauce ingredients for this amount of broccoli. I guarantee it’s still going to taste amazing!

The Only Thing Better Than These Mashed Potatoes Is… 😉

Oh my! I wonder what you thought I was referring to? It might be a good idea to keep it a secret! But whatever you thought it was, these sinfully creamy mashed potatoes are right there, fighting for the 1st place. And I guarantee none of the recipes you’ve tried over the years will come even close to this one. I know – I didn’t believe it either when my friend told me that.

She said this recipe was so delightful that she had ditched the entree and just eaten two massive servings of these taters. I still didn’t believe her, but she wouldn’t give up so I promised her I’d give the recipe a shot.

I almost forgot about the whole thing until Easter, when we had special guests coming over for dinner. I thought, ok – if these mashed potatoes are really as good as my friend said they were, I’m going to try and wow our guests with these.

But I had no idea I would almost knock myself unconscious with this amazing flavor! I swear I was the first one at the table to say “these are AWESOME”, and I didn’t even think how silly that must have sounded coming from the cook herself!

A Marvelous Make-Ahead Breakfast For Your Holiday Gatherings!

Have you ever just wanted to take a break from the typical eggs, bacon, and toast breakfast? I know that I do!

Sometimes I prefer something on the sweeter side like pancakes or waffles. But, then again, those are also very common breakfast foods. There are days when I’m craving something new and exciting, maybe even something, French! That’s when I discovered this awesome cinnamon raisin French toast with apple filling.

These tasty little morning-time treats are packed with apples and sweet, plump raisins. Yummy! The dish is prepared the night before, so this is a great make-ahead breakfast for the holidays. In addition to tasting heavenly, this French toast looks amazing. You might even say it’s too pretty to eat, but hey, let’s not talk crazy here, haha! I like how easy this breakfast is to make and you will, too. Enjoy!

This Became An Instant Favorite At Our House!

Some days I feel very inspired when it comes to cooking and baking. Fall is usually that kind of time for me; when the air gets fresh and crispy, I am filled with this new energy that makes me want to try and learn all kinds of new things. This morning I woke up with that feeling and I decided that I would whip up something I had never tried before!

Now, quiche isn’t a completely new thing for me – and I bet most of you have made one or two of them over the years, too. But this combination of ingredients was something I probably wouldn’t have thought of trying. Fortunately, my sister had tried this recipe and said it was amazing, so I decided to give it a go, too.

I love taking shortcuts when it comes to pie crusts… I mean, ain’t nobody got time for making your own, right? Ok, I have to admit homemade pie crusts are awesome, but this quiche is absolutely divine even if you’re using store-bought. Give yourself a break, just like I did!

Long gone are the days where lemonade was what refreshed a person’s body on a hot summer day. As tasty as a tall glass of ice cold lemonade is, when you spend the day in the pool and get out for a break, you want something a little more filling. Am I right or am I right? Yeah, I know… I am right. Well anyway, lemonade just was not doing it for me when I would get out of the pool after a long swim in the sun. So I figured there had to be something better to do than just drink up a glass of lemonade.

As I was sipping on my unfortunate glass of lemonade, I noticed a delicious chocolate trifle dish my sister was making. It had layer upon layer of chocolatey goodness: brownie pieces, chocolate pudding, chocolate chips and cool whip. One layer after the other it seemed so amazing. That is when it occurred to me: I can make a similar dessert that is refreshing, too! And that is how this lemon trifle dessert was born. It is layer upon layer of creamy refreshing goodness that feels so good when you eat it up and fills you up a bit, too!

Sweet potatoes have become my new best friend. I have always stayed away from them due to this one experience where I absolutely hated it. I had always been a huge potato fan. But I mean, regular potatoes. However, after a long time of eating those, I wanted to branch out and try something new. So one day, I was at Outback and ordered a baked potato. The waiter came back to my table a few minutes later to inform me that they were out of baked potatoes, but they could give me a sweet potato instead. I figured I would give it a try.

What he brought was a burnt sweet potato covered in butter and brown sugar. Like, it was swimming in butter. Now imagine taking a bite of something burnt dunked in brown sugar. It is definitely not all that appetizing. Well, I thought all baked sweet potatoes were like that, so I never ordered it again… that is until I found out how to make them myself. I figured I would give them a try and absolutely loved them. It is from that great experience that I experimented more and then eventually came up with this sweet potato chowder!

Here, where we live, there is a big shopping scene. There are lots of malls and they are packed every single day of the year. It seems like a usual outing in our town is to hit the mall for some window shopping and then eat at one of the many restaurants. Every year, they open 3-4 new restaurants so one of these days, it is going to catch up to the amount of stores and be even. “That will be the day,” my husband always says.

There are some stores, like Nordstrom, that have their own restaurants inside. It is pretty convenient because you can go in mid shopping, have lunch, and then get right back at it exactly where you left off. No need to walk all the way to the food court. Now, the food there is pretty simple, but they have one signature dessert that is amazing: white chocolate bread pudding. Now as amazing as it is (and I love it!) most of my family cannot enjoy it because they cannot eat chocolate. So, I have decided to alter the recipe to make it at home. Instead of chocolate, I let seasoned apples flavor it, and boy was it good.
