Will You Be Making This Creamy Cake For Your Sunday Brunch?

Are you tired of that same old cake recipe you keep making year after year, for all the special occasions? I know I was, and that’s why I was so happy when I first came across this awesome recipe. This is not your ordinary cake recipe; this one combines flavors from three of my favorites; Tres Leches cake, coconut cake and lime cake.

Sounds like it’s going to be complicated, right? Wrong! This cake is very easy to put together, which makes it perfect for parties and those times when you’re serving a larger crowd. Making two of these is not going to take much longer than making just one of them – and I guarantee you’re going to wish you had some leftovers!

I intend to serve this for Thanksgiving meal this year, and probably many times over the holidays! However, since you only need a few ingredients for this and they are pretty easy on your wallet, I’m sure I will be making this year ’round, “just because”!

Crack The Code To The Most Incredible Dessert EVER

If there is such a thing as Lemon Crumb Bar Eaters Anonymous, please let me know about it. I have developed somewhat of an addiction to these – actually, I think my husband would describe it an obsession. You’ll understand when you give this recipe a try! I kind of wish I had never stumbled upon this recipe – then again, I’m really happy I did!

Ever since I found this recipe I’ve been making these bars for ALL occasions. I’m serious. I’ve made these for birthdays, potlucks and a baby shower. I even made these for our neighbors, for their wedding anniversary. And you have no idea how many times people have asked me for the recipe! That’s why I decided to share it with you here.

I can’t decide whether it’s the crumb topping that’s my favorite thing about these bars, or the beautiful, creamy lemon filling. I just know that I am hopelessly in love with these, and I’m about to make another batch tomorrow. Or maybe tonight!

Sink Your Teeth Into These And You’ll Be In Chocolate Heaven

When my brother and I grew up, times were simpler. Our parents trusted us, and society, to travel around our little town after about age ten. We could only go if we were together though. We would hop on our bikes and go and explore. This could mean checking out little bike trails or roads that we hadn’t been on before. Sometimes we would get brave and pop into a store and do a little window shopping. The clerks started to know us after a few times. We were good kids, so we never caused any trouble.

That’s why they didn’t mind us hanging around so much. When we had some money in our pockets though, we would head straight for the town bakery. They had the best homemade desserts that I have ever tried. If we got there early enough, we would grab up one of their huge fudge brownies. They were like a little piece of heaven in our hands.

They were super cheap and super tasty. It’s a good thing that Mom and Dad never gave us more than a dollar or so, or we may have had a bit of a problem! Now that I have this recipe, I can make them for my kids and they can experience the flavor that I grew up loving so much.

You Won’t Be Able To Resist This (And You Shouldn’t)

I haven’t always been a fan of coconut. When I was a kid, my sister was crazy about the coconut chocolate bars (what were they called again? I just can’t remember the name!) and I thought the scent alone was unpleasant.

But something has happened over the years and these days it feels like I can’t get enough of this tropical flavor. Maybe it’s the fact that it brings back so many wonderful memories from a tropical resort I once visited – or maybe we all develop more refined taste buds when we grow up!

Whatever the reason, I have collected quite an impressive bunch of delicious recipes with coconut, and this cake is my absolute number one favorite. It’s so easy to make, it’s almost ridiculous; but it tastes like you’ve spent half a day making it!

Whenever I serve this to guests they beg me for the recipe and I’m a little embarrassed to share it… What can I say, it’s just so simple! The secret is, you’re using coconut in three different forms, and I think that’s what makes the flavor so stupendous.

I remember a while ago being at home, having just given myself a fresh manicure. My nails were wet and I was being so careful of everything I was doing so as not to ruin them. That is when I should have known something would happen. At the very moment I sat down carefully on the couch with a good book, my neighbor Anne burst through my back door with a foil covered plate in her hands. She darted to my counter where she dropped that plate and then ran to me and plopped herself next to me. Without catching her breath, she told me about these amazing new chocolate bars she had made. That is when it happened. Without a moment’s notice, she had her hands in mine, completely smudging my paint.

The best part was that she did not notice. She was rambling on and on about these chocolaty, toffee filled, triple layer of goodness bars. They were full of everything delicious that she loved and she just HAD to tell me about them right now. Then she ran over, picked one up and stuck a piece in my mouth. That is when I realized these were worth the ruined manicure.

Who Needs The Oven, Anyway?!

Here’s a brilliant idea for a dessert! If you always seem to be short on time, this one is perfect for you. It only takes a few minutes to put it together, plus a couple of hours in the fridge. No whisking, no baking, no hassle! Just a really delicious and fluffy pie that everyone in your family will love. You can even choose the flavor yourself!

You can ask even your youngest kids to help you out in the kitchen while making this dessert. If your kids are a little older already, they can make this all by themselves – it’s so easy! You only need four ingredients, unless you want to add a bit of decorations on the top before serving. And you could definitely turn these into showstoppers for your kids’ birthday parties by adding a little bit of food coloring in the pie filling!
