Would You Pick One Or Make a Combination Of All 3 Of Them?

It’s always the same thing for me when it comes to holiday meals.

I start planning really early, to make sure there is no last minute panic. But then I simply find way too many great recipes and I start rethinking my choices. After about 3 weeks of hopping back and forth between ten different recipes, my husband picks one for me. I know, it’s sad!

But this year I don’t have to rethink anything. This sweet potato casserole recipe that I found on Recipes For Our Daily Bread is brilliant. Basically, you get an awesome sweet potato casserole with three topping options in one! We all have that favorite topping we like better than others, so now you can make something for everyone.

I actually can’t believe I hadn’t thought of this myself. This is great for anyone like me, who are having a hard time deciding what to serve at Christmas dinner!

Will You Be Making This Creamy Cake For Your Sunday Brunch?

Are you tired of that same old cake recipe you keep making year after year, for all the special occasions? I know I was, and that’s why I was so happy when I first came across this awesome recipe. This is not your ordinary cake recipe; this one combines flavors from three of my favorites; Tres Leches cake, coconut cake and lime cake.

Sounds like it’s going to be complicated, right? Wrong! This cake is very easy to put together, which makes it perfect for parties and those times when you’re serving a larger crowd. Making two of these is not going to take much longer than making just one of them – and I guarantee you’re going to wish you had some leftovers!

I intend to serve this for Thanksgiving meal this year, and probably many times over the holidays! However, since you only need a few ingredients for this and they are pretty easy on your wallet, I’m sure I will be making this year ’round, “just because”!

This 3-Layer Dessert Will Make You Want To Slap Your Momma!

If you’re looking for a dessert that’s going to sweep you and all your guests off your feet, I guarantee this is it. I’ve never had anything nearly as delicious as these bars with such a funny name; nanaimo. I don’t know what that means but I think it might be “the heavenly dessert bar that will pamper your taste buds and make you sing hallelujah”!

Even though you need three different layers for this dessert, it’s not that difficult to make. The instructions are very straight forward and the end result is definitely worth the effort.

When you’re making the bottom layer, be careful so that you don’t add the egg when the cocoa mixture is too hot. If it seems too hot, let it cool for a while first or the egg will curdle. Another trick for it would be to slowly beat some of the cocoa mixture into the egg first, a little at a time. Trust me – that’s the only tricky part about this recipe!

I Thought I Had The Best Brownie Recipe In The World But This One Proved Me Wrong!

I had tried about a gazillion brownie recipes in my life and I thought I knew the secret to the tastiest ones on the planet. It was a recipe I got from my aunt and I was the only one in the family she ever shared her famous recipe with. Needless to say, I was honored, and that recipe is still the best EVER for so-called “regular brownies”. Although I’m not sure if any brownies can be called that!

Anyway, unfortunately I’m not going to share my aunt’s recipe with you. But I do have the greatest recipe for “special” brownies! These are packed with such incredible flavor that they may sweep you off your feet!

Yummy, toasted coconut and a touch of instant coffee are bringing in a little bit of a tropical vibe – it’s like having a tiny vacation right in your home kitchen, when you sink your teeth into these! I would suggest you make a double batch of these because these are going to be gone faster than you’d ever think!

Kids And Adults Alike Are Going To Love This Monkey Bread!

My Mom and Dad always made sure that we had special childhood memories that we would take with us into adulthood, and hopefully pass on to their grandchildren. Birthdays, Christmas, Easter, and Thanksgiving were the days that I always remembered the most. Mom would usually go all out on these days with the food, decorations, music, and planning. I think she enjoyed it just as much was we did. She put together an awesome time though, so I can see what it was so much fun for her to do. Now that I have kids of my own, I try and follow those same traditions.

Some of the things are the same, while other things I have altered to fit our family. One thing that I do each and every morning on any of these special occasions is make a fun breakfast.

The kids’ favorite, and probably mine, along with a ton of other people that have been lucky enough to enjoy these days with us is the monkey bread. I consistently make these for special occasions, birthdays, and other holidays.. It will forever be my favorite recipe to make… and eat!

My mother was practically born to bake. She is so good at it we’ve often told her she should set up her own bakery! She likes to experiment with different recipes – sometimes she sees a recipe on TV or a magazine and she’ll make something similar, but with her own ingredients. She has made the most beautiful and decorative cakes and pastries for family gatherings, but to her it’s always about the flavor. If she makes a cake and it doesn’t taste good enough, she’ll throw it away.

It’s a bit of a surprise that this easy-to-make cake is one of her favorites. I mean, the ingredients are so simple and the method couldn’t be easier. But that’s where the flavor comes in! This is one of the tastiest cakes on the planet, according to my mother, and she really knows about cakes. That’s why I knew I couldn’t fail with this recipe – and she was absolutely right!

I’ve made this cake several times already, since Mom found it over at Can’t Stay Out Of The Kitchen. It always turns out delightful and I can barely wait until the next time again!

Cookies are my favorite treats. I have mentioned that so many times in the past, but it is absolutely true. They are easy to carry around, have loads of fun toppings and are full of flavor and deliciousness. My favorite are classic chocolate chip cookies, but every now and then I like to venture into something new, specifically a new flavor. I have tried sugar cookies, lemon cookies, red velvet cookies, oatmeal cookies and so many more. They are all great, but sometimes I like to get even more adventurous.

 

These cookies here are a twist on my classic chocolate chip cookie. They have loads of chocolate chips, but on top of that have oats, cornflakes, coconut and pecans. With all this deliciousness in one cookie, you will be hooked after the first bite. Not to mention, if you eat a few of these, you can practically count it as a meal! Full of protein and chocolate, you cannot go wrong. These are so easy to assemble and in return you will get some big hearty cookies full of flavor and the perfect texture. You will see how easy these are to prepare and will get hooked on making these. Your family will love you for it, too!
