Here’s Your Ticket To Easier Mornings!

If you’re anything like me, every morning is a bit of a struggle. It’s not exactly easy to get up at 5am every day, and on top trying to get yourself ready for work you need to make sure your kids don’t leave the house hungry. I will be the first one to admit I’ve literally thrown apples at them while rushing them out the door. There’s nothing wrong with a fresh apple, but it’s not a very wholesome morning meal, is it?

A few weeks ago I decided I don’t want to stress over breakfast anymore, so I spent a few hours putting together a meal plan. I collected a bunch of easy breakfast ideas and I actually made a monthly plan, listing out every ingredient I would need for each recipe and how much time I would need to make them.

It took me a couple of hours to do that but it has had a huge impact on my family’s morning routines! Things are not as chaotic anymore, and no-one has to leave the house with an empty belly. These are my favorite 7 easy breakfast ideas – I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

What Are You Having For Breakfast Tomorrow Morning?

If you are as tired of oatmeal, toast or granola as I am, then you’re going to love this wonderful breakfast casserole recipe I’m about to show you!

This recipe certainly does have a Southern flair to it, though its hearty flavor can be enjoyed by people of all backgrounds, I think. This sausage biscuits & gravy casserole is simple to put together, too! And I guarantee; once you’ve tried this, there’s no going back to your old morning routine.

Though I don’t indulge in breakfast often, at least not during the standard breakfast hours, my Deep South background certainly gives me plenty of tasty options when I want to do so. A good number of them don’t require much toiling in the kitchen at all, and some can even be cooked the night before and easily re-heated the next day, with no compromise in flavor. This savory casserole is just such a recipe.

The great thing about this casserole is that you can also serve it for lunch or dinner. I like to make a large enough batch to have some leftovers – in my opinion, this dish only gets better when reheated!

Oatmeal Is So Last Season!

You know what I love most about working from home? Breakfast. I feel very lucky because I usually have time to enjoy a peaceful breakfast instead of rushing out the door with just a cup of coffee in my hand.

I used to be that person who had to get up at times that most people would consider “the middle of the night”. I’d jump out of bed, make the coffee, brush my teeth and possibly grab and apple that I would later on eat in the car. I never had time for breakfast because I had such a long commute, and I wanted to spend the extra 30 minutes sleeping instead of rushing around in the kitchen.

Now that I do get to enjoy breakfast, I try to make it special for my family, too. My husband used to be the one who had to take care of the kids’ morning routines, so it wasn’t exactly a serene time of day for him, either…

These days I get up early, willingly, and try to come up with new breakfast ideas every day. Sometimes it’s homemade granola, sometimes a fruit salad, but the whole family enjoys breakfast casseroles the most. This recipe is one of our favorites!

I have a confession- there are times when I just want to stay in bed all day without the need to get up.

It’s not about being lazy; not at all; it’s more of the feeling of comfort your bed can provide. I love to spend my weekend mornings with my family in bed. Since the twins have that cute habit of waking up early and then sneaking in our bedroom while we’re still asleep, we all get to cuddle together in the morning. Weekend mornings are the best ever- I won’t exchange it for anything else.

Sometimes, the husband wakes up early to cook breakfast for all of us. But instead of calling us about the food getting ready, he brings the breakfast to bed. We share our breakfast together in one large plate while we’re still in bed.

This morning bond with the family makes me want to share with you a breakfast recipe that I was able to make a couple of days ago. It came from the website called Our Table For Seven, and it’s called B & B casserole. It’s a breakfast casserole that has everything you want on it- meat, cheese, and eggs.

This casserole is full of basic yet flavorful ingredients that you can find inside your pantry. You don’t need to stress yourself over this- you just have to enjoy eating this with your family.

Argo cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, barilla pasta, Bertolli extra-virgin olive oil, black pepper, Bob's Red Mill, Borden, breakfast bake, breakfast casserole, brown sugar, Campbell’s condensed cream of potato soup, Campbell’s soups, casserole, Chiquita, Clabber Girl, College Inn, Cool Whip, crock pot, Daisy sour cream, dessert, Dole, domino sugar, eat, Eggland's Best eggs, food, Gold Medal flour, granulated sugar, Green Giant, ham, ham and cheese, hash brown casserole, Hershey, Hodgkin’s Mill, Jell-O, Jif peanut butter, Johnsonville, keebler, kosher salt, Kraft, Kraft parmesan cheese, Kraft sharp cheddar cheese, land o lakes butter, Libby, McCormick spices, Morton salt, Ore-Ida hash brown potatoes, Pam Cooking Spray, Pepperidge Farm, Philadelphia cream cheese, Powdered sugar, recipe, Ritz crackers, Sara Lee, Sargento, slow cooker, Thorn Apple Valley, Toll House, TruMoo milk, tyson, vanilla, vanilla extract, Vlasic, Wesson vegetable oil, whipped topping

Breakfast Bakes. A man’s (or woman’s) best friend. There is nothing more comforting when you wake up than knowing that you have a bake in the fridge and all you have to do is pop that in the oven and it will be good to go. It is easy, simple and usually very comforting food that is perfect for getting yourself going on a lazy morning. Also a perk, these are quite filling and kids tend to love them! You can fix this up in any way you want, so do not be afraid to get creative with your preparation of this dish.

A great way to make your kids eat their veggies is to hide them in these! The kids love this because it is all their breakfast in one dish, so it will all be in one bowl and easy to chow down with a spoon. They also cannot really tell what is in it, so they eat it thoroughly, enjoying the potatoes and bit of cheese on the top, so it really does make it the perfect dish to sneak some of those veggies they would not eat otherwise. Do not let this fool you, it is easy to prep and delicious to enjoy.

Argo cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, barilla pasta, Bertolli extra-virgin olive oil, black pepper, Bob's Red Mill, Borden, Borden milk, breakfast casserole, brown sugar, Campbell’s soups, casserole, Chiquita, Clabber Girl, College Inn, Cool Whip, crock pot, Daisy sour cream, dessert, Dole, domino sugar, eat, Eggland's Best eggs, food, Gold Medal flour, granulated sugar, Green Giant, Hershey, Hillshire hot pork sausage, Hodgkin’s Mill, Jell-O, Jif peanut butter, Johnsonville, keebler, kosher salt, Kraft, Kraft Cheddar cheese, land o lakes butter, Libby, McCormick spices, Morton salt, Mr. Dee’s frozen hash brown potatoes, Pam Cooking Spray, Pepperidge Farm, Philadelphia cream cheese, Powdered sugar, recipe, Ritz crackers, Sara Lee, Sargento, sausage casserole, sausage hash brown casserole, slow cooker, Thorn Apple Valley, Toll House, TruMoo milk, tyson, vanilla, vanilla extract, Vlasic, Wesson vegetable oil, whipped topping

My breakfast preferences have changed over time. When I was a kid, my favorite food for breakfast was rice, fried eggs, and any type of breakfast meat—sausages, bacon, or beef strips. When I became a teenager, my breakfast preferences went from rice to bread. I still loved eggs and meat in the morning, but instead of rice, I preferred bread. College was a bit hectic. My breakfasts were usually composed of milk and cereal; or peanut butter and jelly sandwiches—the easy grab-and-go breakfast. When I started working, my breakfast was composed of anything that I could snatch off the fridge, which was convenient but not really ideal. Who wouldn’t want a proper breakfast?

On weekends, I love preparing myself a hearty breakfast meal, something that I could enjoy while reading the morning newspaper and drinking my fresh cup of coffee. Since I love sugarless, black coffee, I usually prepare pancakes or waffles with berry syrup and whipped cream. But there are also times when sugar just overwhelms me. So I long for something that’s not sweet instead. This sausage hashbrown casserole that I found over at All Recipes is something that I haven’t tried before. It’s something different, easy to make, and looks really good to eat.
