Meat-Loaded, Baked Goodness

It’s not your everyday quiche – not that quiche itself is what you’d call “every day.” This Meat Lover’s Quiche, as the name clearly suggests, is for the meat eaters of the world. It’s surprisingly simple to put together, too. Honestly, the few times I have had quiche in the past, it has been a bit overdone and made of a veggie blend that I could take or leave. This meat- and cheese-rich deliciousness came out just right, though, and made for an excellent main course – not that you need much on the side for something like this.

But if you want to serve a lighter meal, make a nice green salad on the side and remember portion control with the quiche! However, with a quiche as delicious as this one, I wouldn’t worry about calories.

Every now and then I love to eat something super delicious, without feeling guilty about it at all. And this one is definitely worth it!

Do you put the filling in a pre-baked pie crust? I didn’t see any mention of a crust.
    Thanks, Joan

That cost appears to be the ground beef with mashed potatoes as filling, then toppings. Looks delish!

        Crust not cost

Were does all the grease for beef go ??????

The leaner the meat the less grease. You can use cheaper meat and just drain it with a spoon.

Do you cook the meat first before assembly??

This is more like sheppards pie..not quiche…..also refrigerated mashed potatoes are runny…

Instead of mash potatoes,I used shredded frozen has brown potatoes added melted garlic butter and then the other chopped toppings (red bell-pepper, 1/4 cup can-small-peas (drained) and shredded-sharp-cheddar- cheese the last 10 minutes

Wouldn’t it taste better with homemade mashed potatoes? Just a suggestion. ☺

I think that sounds good! Maybe I’ll give it a try and let you know how it turns out. Thanks for the suggestion, Cris 🙂

Why are you calling this quiche?? Quiche is made with eggs, not mashed potatoes.
