It really doesn’t get any easier than this! Only 3 ingredients and yet, such a delicious dish that will take you down the memory lane. I love these simple recipes – they always make my day when I’m in a hurry.
This recipe is very easy to double for a larger crowd. You could also bake two of these and freeze the other one in portions, to have an even quicker dinner whenever you need one! I like to serve this with green salad and some homemade, crusty bread.
Ingredients
1 Bag of frozen ravioli
1 jar of marinara sauce (I used Ragu)
2 cups of mozzarella cheese
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Grease the a 9×13 baking dish with butter or spray with nonstick cooking spray.
Pour 3/4 cup of the pasta sauce in the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly. Using 1/2 the frozen ravioli, make a single layer over the pasta sauce. Top the ravioli with half of the remaining sauce and 1 cup of the mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers once, starting with ravioli. Sprinkle with cheese.
Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and continue baking uncovered for 10-15 minutes longer, until bubbly. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.

good simple – Few Ingredient Recipes
I saw this and for days I kept thinking about how to kick this up a notch or 2, so I used a smaller baking dish. I sautéed onions, fresh sweet basil from my garden, mushrooms and fresh shrimp To which I added a 3 cheese sauce then I layered the frozen ravioli and the shrimp sauce mixture with crumbled organic goat cheese, topped it off with a thick layer of mozzarella covered it with foil and baked. Awesome.
You don’t mess around when you start kicking at those notches! Your creation sounds exquisite! Wish I had that kind of imagination and talent!
Looks good will have to try this
I love lasagna but this is a very different twist. I’ll try it BUT I’ll make it interesting by using cheese.sausage and meat raviolis. Just a thought, mind you
I have not yet tasted anything that even resembles- tastes like my mom’s ravioli. Real stuff using left over meat from Sunday meal, cooked in sauce, ground together and stuffed into freshly made dough. ummmmmmmmmm
I make a similar dish – but use half the bag of the 3 cheese Ravioli’s from Costco. (you see there is only two of us for dinner) I do it in a 1 quart Pyrex casserole dish. Also, I saute 1/2 pound of hamburger with onion and garlic. This I add between the layers of ravs, cheese and sauce. This is great with homemade garlic bread and a green salad. Yum!!!

I have made this dish numerous times and it doesn’t disappoint. My recipe calls for cheese ravioli but I use beef because of preference. I also use difference types of cheeses with success.
Great receipt going to try it . thanks for offering
You don’t say how much ravioli. What size bag?
I buy a large bag…(don’t remember the actual size) and layer until no more will fit! A lot depends on your size of sauce. I make this, but use spaghetti sauce, not Maranara. It is very good…..and fast & easy!
Clicked the full recipe and the bag of frozen raviolis was a 1 lb/ 9oz bag.
Why not lighly oil the pan with olive oil or peanut oil instead of cooking spray which has propellents and chemicals in it? Gross!
Olive oil is good, lots people are allergic to peanut oil.
Do you put the ravioli in frozen. I tried it once and it seemed runny.
Yes, put it in frozen. The recipe says to put frozen ravioli in the baking dish. I would imagine that it would get too mushy/over cook if it was thawed or precooked.
Doesn’t the parmesan cheese make it 4 ingredients?
also try the copycat recipe for chef boyardee tomato sauce. it’s excellent. i put in only 1/4 tso of sugar though. to much sugar over powers the taste
What’s uρ, I log on to yiur blog daily. Yоur humoriѕtic
style is աitty, kerp up the good work!
My mom made a similar casserole which included a layer of chopped frozen spinach, defrosted and squeezed dry, along with the hamburger and onion. So yummy!
Having this tonight!
Ravioli is not an ingredient. It is a made food.
