I don’t know about you, but when I was growing up, having a Sunday afternoon beef roast was pretty typically at our house. After church, the beef roast would be ready to come out of the oven. It always smelled so good as our family got out of the car in our driveway. Mom sure knew what she was doing.

So today, I’m going to share with you my mother’s famous braised beef roast recipe with you. I think this is a recipe you are really going to enjoy. You’ll be amazed at how tender and juicy this roast comes out. You see, it’s not cooked in the oven but rather a Dutch oven. My mother would make hers both ways. I always preferred the Dutch oven because the meat was always more tender.

PLEASE CONTINUE TO THE NEXT PAG FOR A LIST OF INGREDIENTS AND DIRECTIONS.

Quick Tip: This roast is always best served with carrots and mashed potatoes.
