My mother would make fudge with my sisters and I every December.

When it came to holiday baking and candy making my mom was better than Betty Crocker. Seriously, we should have called her Cathy crocker. Cathy is my mom’s name. Anyway, mom always had yummy holiday cookies, cakes, pies, and FUDGE laying around.

Her fudge recipes were seriously easy to follow; sort of like the one on the following page. I came across a candy cane fudge recipe on the Cutting Back kitchen blog. Just check out the picture. Doesn’t this yummy fudge look fabulous?

I think you could even make this fudge for Valentines Day because of the pretty pink hue!

Are you excited about this recipe? Would you like to know how to make it? Find all the details over on the next page 🙂

My friends and I loved doing bake sales when we were in college.

If you see us together, you wouldn’t imagine us as a group of people who raised money for charity. We were, after all, a really noisy crowd who always laughed and made fun of each other. But it’s true. When we were in college, we joined this organization who raised money for the homeless. One of our ways of achieving that was through bake sales. We set up a little booth at the university and sold different types of sweet treats.

Most of us knew how to cook and bake, which helped achieve the purpose easier. Some of us did the marketing and posted posters and gave away flyers. I was part of those who slaved away in the kitchen the day before the bake sale.

This recipe that I am about to share with you reminds me of those days. Those days when we all felt happy while doing something that worthwhile. Giving something to people who have less than you felt nice- there is something about the thought of giving that just makes our hearts feel good.

Just like this no-bake peanut butter pie recipe. It’s a simple pie that doesn’t take too much of your time and effort. It’s a no-bake pie that will satisfy the stomach and hearts of the ones you love.

This is my favorite meatloaf recipe! I love ooey gooey cheese on almost everything.

I had never thought to stuff a meatloaf before until I saw this recipe. The smell of this delicious meatloaf is almost enough to get you salivating. But then you remember that this meatloaf is full of melting cheese and is topped off with a succulent sauce that yo can’t get enough of!

This is the kind of meatloaf that you will get your Italian food fix. The sauce is seriously delicious and will have you reaching for more so that you can smoother each piece of the meatloaf. My family loves this mozzarella stuff meatloaf. My 12-year-old son told me that he loved it so much that he wanted to make it the next time!

I love teaching my kids how to cook so I cannot wait to see him in action! The more that I see my kids enjoying our family meals, the more I am excited for them to cook for their own families.

I’ll be one happy camper when I hear that grandma taught them how to make that wonderful meal! What a fantastic feeling! Make this fabulous meatloaf and pass the recipe on.

Whoopie pies are such a fun food to make and to eat!

Is it a cookie, a cake, or what?  It’s all of it! It’s a scrumptious treat that everyone loves to eat! I can recall eating many of these little cookie cake sandwiches when I was little. My grandmother used to make them all of the time. She would make a bunch of different flavors, but I can tell you what! My favorite flavor was the banana ones!

My grandma used to say that if your bananas are going bad that you should not throw them away, but they are perfect to bake with. She would often times make banana bread or banana pancakes. But on a very special day she would make banana whoopie pies. If I was over there, she would let me put the sweet cream in the middle of the little cakes.

I loved helping her make these whoopie pies. But I love eating them even more. This is a fantastic recipe and you won’t be disappointed.

Take these treats to a special occasion. You see how excited everyone is to eat these wonderful little cookie cakes and then when they taste the delicious banana flavor they will squeal with delight! Can you say yum?!

We were living in the same neighborhood for about ten years when a new young couple moved in.

The woman was obviously pregnant as we could tell when we went to go introduce ourselves. I asked her when she was due and she said that at any time she could go into labor. How exciting! My baby is three years old so having an itty bitty baby around was a thing of the distant past. After about two weeks, the husband came and said they were on the way to the hospital, and asked if we could keep an eye on the house.

Not a problem! As I was sitting there thinking about their arrival home, I decided that I should make something to welcome them back. I remembered the recipe for chocolate pie that I had, just like this one from All Recipes, and decided to toss it together. It was chilling in the fridge when I saw them pull in.

I ran over and delivered it to them, and took a quick peek at the new life they brought home. I left very quickly so that they could enjoy some peace and quiet, and some yummy chocolate pie.

They came over a couple of days later with their new baby and thanked me, and asked for the recipe. I told them I would gladly share it after they let me hold that baby!

When I went to my best friend’s daughter’s graduation party last year, they had come up with quite the spread of food.

It’s no secret that I’m kind of a dessert freak. Anytime that I see something that I’ve never tried before, I just have to have it. At the end of the table, there were Rice Krispie treats, well at least that’s what I thought they were. I figured I could skip those for something else. Who hasn’t had a Rice Krispie treat before? That was until I got closer.

They weren’t what I thought! They were covered in all kinds of ooey and gooey looking deliciousness. I absolutely had to try that. I already love the original Krispie treats, but I’ve never had one like this. I’ve tried them with candy in them but this was above and beyond.

It’s like they were made especially for adults. The flavor of these was incredible. I actually had to sneak up and get another one! They looked just like this recipe from Spend With Pennies. Now that I have it, I can make them for myself whenever I want.
