Whoopie pies are such a fun food to make and to eat!
Is it a cookie, a cake, or what? It’s all of it! It’s a scrumptious treat that everyone loves to eat! I can recall eating many of these little cookie cake sandwiches when I was little. My grandmother used to make them all of the time. She would make a bunch of different flavors, but I can tell you what! My favorite flavor was the banana ones!
My grandma used to say that if your bananas are going bad that you should not throw them away, but they are perfect to bake with. She would often times make banana bread or banana pancakes. But on a very special day she would make banana whoopie pies. If I was over there, she would let me put the sweet cream in the middle of the little cakes.
I loved helping her make these whoopie pies. But I love eating them even more. This is a fantastic recipe and you won’t be disappointed.
Take these treats to a special occasion. You see how excited everyone is to eat these wonderful little cookie cakes and then when they taste the delicious banana flavor they will squeal with delight! Can you say yum?!
