Lately, I’ve been posting a lot of soup recipes because the changing of the seasons is upon us. But then, I got to thinking that I need to post a biscuit or roll recipe so that you guys have something to dip into your soup. I mean, after all, what’s a hot steaming bowl of soup without a buttermilk biscuit? Just a hot steaming bowl of soup. you guys are really going to enjoy this recipe for self-rising biscuits because of how easy they are to make. All you need are a few ingredients. This recipe gives you three different options as to which form of fat you can use, too. I like options.

Do you have an old family biscuit recipe? If so, please share it with me in the comments. I always enjoy peeking at recipes that have been passed down through the generations.

Hey, everyone! So, as I’ve mentioned before, fall is peeking at us from right around the corner. Soon, the leaves will be changing their colors and the air will release it’s warmth in exchange for a crisp feel. Do you know what this means? Soup time! I think I make about 27,000 batches of soup during the fall and winter. Okay, maybe not that much, but very close haha! What are your favorite meals to make during the colder months? are you a soup and stew fan such as myself? My husband and kids prefer chili above all else, however, they seemed pretty satisfied with this cheesy cauliflower soup.

As most soups are, this one is pretty easy to make. In fact, it’s downright quick. The only hard part is waiting for it to cook. All soups need their time on the stove or in the Crock. Simmering is what makes a soup good.

If you are looking for a dessert that is so rich your lips want to suck back into your mouth to get a taste, these chocolate butterscotch caramel bars are for you! I was chatting with my neighbor Sally the other day under this huge maple tree in my yard. For once, I was telling Sally about an amazing dessert recipe that I had found, usually, it’s Sally who lets me in on all of the remarkable recipes of the world. Well, wouldn’t you know it, good old Sal topped me with this fantastic recipe for chocolate butterscotch caramel bars. I’m glad that she did!

Sally led me to The Pioneer Woman’s website and showed me a photo of these amazing bars. Oh. My. Word. I think I was almost ready to lick the computer screen! These bars are simple to make and taste absolutely fantastic. You won’t be sorry that you made them, I promise 🙂

If anyone says they don’t like pumpkin spice, there’s something seriously the matter with them. This flavor is to die for. It’s soothing and warms you up, but lightly satisfying. Those spices are undeniably fall and I get so excited every time the season rolls around to try the different things offered everywhere that are pumpkin spice laden. This oatmeal is a new one for me, and I am already in love with it!

The best thing about this is that I already love oatmeal on a chilly morning. It’s the perfect start to the day, as it’s so versatile for ingredients. You can add anything in there from dried fruit, to syrup and honey, to nuts and seeds and so much more. Making it pumpkin flavor adds a whole new dimension to what we can do. I even topped mine with a squirt of Reddi Whip, because why not?

Okay, I admit it that I ate some of these that night, but there were still plenty for breakfast in the morning. I surprised the family with them and everyone was thrilled. They pack well, so coffee, juice and a bag full of strawberry cereal bites helped them start out their day right. When my daughter got home she said, “Mom, what WERE those? You need to make them all the time!”

The good news is that these little bites are super easy to make. You won’t feel put out, and may even have fun throwing them together! It’s not like you can take a bowl of cereal onto the bus or into your carpool, so that’s why it’s all in there! How smart and tasty! Give these a try and see why everyone is falling in love with them, and the idea. Recipes like this don’t go viral for no reason. Only those that are easy, flavorful and memorable fit the bill.

Two ingredients, minimal effort and tons of flavor will have everyone wondering what your secret is with this chili cheese dip. It’s so simple! I love whipping this up and setting it out in my mini crock pot. Everyone enjoys this! The best chips to serve it with are Fritos but it’s really whatever you desire. It’s hard to believe there are only two ingredients to be honest. It’s packed with flavor and has just the right amount of zing to it!

I just kept dipping and dipping the first time I had it. It is really addictive! So you may want to take that into consideration if you’re not sharing, and if you are great! You’ll be the talk of the party with your delectable dip. There are other things that can be added on top of the main ingredients, but the two stand on their own. You decide!

Whenever we visited the local theme park there was one treat I had to have every time, and that was a chocolate covered banana. There are only two fruits I adore with chocolate on them, and those fruits are bananas and strawberries. That’s not to say that there aren’t any others that are just as good, but this is one of my all-time must haves every summer. Talk about a whole lot of yum – this recipe is super popular in our house.

Now with this amazing recipe I can have brownies stuffed with a hunk of banana. It captures that same flavor I love and can be made with ease! Everyone will think they are biting into just a regular old brownie, which is great, but with a banana in the middle it’s even better! There’s no one I know that doesn’t like surprises and this is a tasty one. So treat your little monkey’s to these snacks.

Quick Tip: Add a bit of peanut butter to the center with the banana if you like.
