This Gorgeous Cake Will Take You To The Stairway To Heaven

OK, so my title is simply figurative. Nobody is going to die from sheer satisfaction after eating this cake. However, it might leave you in a dessert coma. Just kidding! Seriously, though, you might hear Led Zeppelin playing in the background of your mind as you indulge in this pretty little cake. This is a luscious, six-layer cake that looks absolutely stunning on a bridal shower table or as a baby shower centerpiece. Of course, you can make and eat this cake anytime you desire.

I make it for myself and eat it alone like a glutton, but who can blame me? Surprisingly, you don’t have to be a pastry chef to put together this tower of cakey goodness.

If you can follow a recipe, you can make this cake. I know it may be hard to believe, looking at that beautiful image – but trust me on this one, ok? Afterwards you are going to thank me for this heavenly dessert, so, you’re welcome!

brownies, brownies with icing, caramel bits, dessert, domino sugar, Eggland's Best eggs, Emerald pecans, evaporated milk, flaked coconut, fudge brownies, German chocolate brownies, Gold Medal flour, Hershey's chocolate chips, land o lakes butter, vanilla

If you’re more of a brownie lover than a cake person, then you’ll find these German chocolate brownies are your weakness! These brownies remind me of my grandma, she used to always make a version of this growing up.

Simpler than you think to make, you don’t need any unusual hard-to-find ingredients. Just the basics! Be sure you do have caramel bits on hand and flaked coconut, they are a necessity. This recipe makes a 9×13 pan and is ready in 20-25 minutes. Bring these to your next pot-luck and it’ll be the highlight of the night.

These Traditional Holiday Cookies Only Need you to Lift one Finger….Mainly Your Thumb

apricot jam, flaked coconut, Jam Cookies, thumb print, Thumb Print cookies, vanilla extract

My grandmother has been making these for years, and it’s clear why she chose this recipe.  It’s easy to make but these cookies come out so delectably buttery with a sweet jelly center.

This recipe makes about 32 cookies.  The portion of dough should stay on the smaller side, to keep the jam in the center from drying up.  You can also freeze them to double the shelf life.
