1. Caramel Apple Cookies
I have fond memories of going apple picking with the family. It was a huge event, so much so that we’d take several cars, and family from all over town and the state would come. Heck, my sister even flew home from California one year so she could enjoy the memory with us again. We pick our apples for many reasons; apple pies, apple butter, and of course just to get the best pick of apples to snack on fresh.
This recipes calling for fresh apple had me excited because we had literally just completed our family outing. There is NOTHING like a freshly picked apple, and if you’ve never gone picking I suggest you do. They are juicy, tart, sweet and dripping with flavor from every bite. That unmistakable crunch is more than satisfying and these cookies capture that along with that telltale caramel everyone loves on their apples.
