Are you a lover of cheesecake? I know that I certainly am and so are the members of ym little family. We all love cheesecake, regular cake, and just plain old sweet treats. That’s exactly what this unique cheesecake is: a sweet treat. It’s full of different flavors and textures that you can really stick a fork in. Once you you make this luscious cake you will never go back to eating boring old desserts again. Are any desserts really boring though? I don’t think so haha!
Check out what my pals at Just DIY had to say about this beautiful red velvet poke cake:
I can just imagine all the different textures that will be in one bite of this beautiful dessert. Remember to keep this cake in the fridge, though I bet it won’t last that long, given how oh so yummy it is! If you don’t like red velvet…there are tons of other flavor combinations to try out, too!”
I am definitely going to try this poke cake with a different flavor next time. There are so many different combinations out there like chocolate and peanut butter, chocolate and mint, orange cream, and strawberry cream. Yum! Which flavor will you try next?
Ingredients
1 box Duncan Hines red velvet cake mix
2 (3.4 oz.) boxes of instant cheesecake-flavored Jell-O pudding mix
4 cups McArthur milk
1 (8 oz.) tub of Cool Whip
10 Oreo cookies, crushed
Instructions:
Bake the red velvet cake according to the instructions.
When it’s done, take a big straw and poke holes all the way though the cake (and snack on the scraps).
Next, mix up the cheesecake-flavored pudding. Dump the pudding on top of the cake. Try to get it directly into the holes as much as possible. Level it off with a spoon.
Let it set in your fridge for about two hours.
Spread the Cool Whip on top. Smash up some Oreos in a bag, sprinkle the crumbs on top of the Cool Whip.

I do a similar cake using a Strawberry Supreme cake mix, frozen, sweetened strawberries (thawed) and Coolwhip mixed with vanilla pudding.
Bake cake. Poke holes. Puree berries and pour over cake. Let stand awhile for berries to soak in. Mix pudding with 1 cup milk then combine with Coolwhip and spread over cake.
I do the same but use jello instead and gop it off with cool whip and berries.
