Can You Guess What’s Underneath That Chocolate Pudding?

For the past two weeks I haven’t been able to think about anything else than yummy desserts. It all started when my daughter asked if we could make three different desserts for the upcoming family event, and for some reason I said “Sure!” before I had even thought about it… So now I’m trying to find 3 equally delicious recipes that would be as easy to make as possible!

I have already decided to make this awesome Oreo lasagna, and I’m actually planning on having my kids make it for me. It’s that easy! And it’s got 4 different layers of pure deliciousness, so it’s a win-win situation, haha!

I don’t know anyone who doesn’t like Oreos, and when you combine those with a little bit of butter, cream cheese and a couple of other yummy things, you just can’t go wrong.

Now that I think about it, I may need to make a test batch to see if I should make two of these lasagnas for the special day! I know everyone is going to want seconds!

Halloween is just a few short weeks away and I couldn’t be more excited! I love seeing the kiddos in their costumes, the candy, and the spooky atmosphere. I especially love whipping up homemade treats for the trick-or-treaters. I know, I know, people rarely do that this day and age anymore for safety reasons but I come from a small rural town of about 450 people. We all know each other so it’s all good 🙂

I make these adorable Octoberbark treats and place them into cellophane baggies with a twisty tie. They look absolutely precious. Every child that gets one has a big grin on their face. It’s rewarding!

Quick Tip: This is so adaptable – use what YOU like.  The original recipe calls for a bittersweet chocolate base, but I knew my husband would enjoy it more if it wasn’t quite so dark, so I used half bittersweet and half semi-sweet.  I happen to like all the candy from the original recipe, so I used all that was suggested.  And I added some Halloween Oreos.  I would like to try it with Twix and Rolo’s, too! – FGD

For years, I’ve been a mega fan of rice Krispie treats. I have made them in a variety of different ways including using butterscotch chips, peanut butter, and candy sprinkles. However, this fluffernutter recipe is the king of my heart. seriously! What’s going on in this pan of dessert awesomeness?!

One of the best things about this recipe is how easy it is to make, plus, you can double the batch if needed. I made these for a church potluck one time and actually had to triple the recipe. it wasn’t that hard and the rice Krispie treats came out with a bang 🙂

Argo cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, barilla pasta, Bertolli extra-virgin olive oil, black pepper, Bob's Red Mill, Borden, brown sugar, casserole, Chiquita, chocolate peanut butter pie, Clabber Girl, College Inn, Cool Whip, creamy jif peanut butter, crock pot, Daisy sour cream, dessert, Dole, domino sugar, eat, Eggland's Best eggs, food, Gold Medal flour, granulated sugar, Green Giant, Hershey, Hodgkin’s Mill, Jell-O, Jif peanut butter, Johnsonville, keebler, kosher salt, Kraft, land o lakes butter, Libby, McCormick spices, Morton salt, Oreo cookies, Pam Cooking Spray, Pepperidge Farm, Philadelphia cream cheese, Powdered sugar, recipe, Sara Lee, Sargento, slow cooker, Thorn Apple Valley, Toll House, TruMoo milk, tyson, vanilla, vanilla extract, Vlasic, Wesson vegetable oil, whipped topping

I have had many peanut butter pies in my day, but nothing tops a recipe that includes cream cheese. Some peanut butter pies only contain vanilla pudding with a sprinkling of peanut butter on the top. What the what? To me, that is not a peanut butter pie at all. The way my mother taught me to make a peanut butter pie is to incorporate the peanut butter into the pie filling which undoubtedly contains cream cheese. There is just no other way, folks.

My husband’s grandmother, God love her, makes a vanilla pudding peanut butter pie, and although it is good, it ain’t great. Sorry, grandma! I love this recipe for chocolate peanut butter pie because it is so rich your future grandchildren can taste it.

Argo cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, barilla pasta, Bertolli extra-virgin olive oil, black pepper, Bob's Red Mill, brown sugar, Clabber Girl, College Inn, Cool Whip, copy cat recipe, domino sugar, eat, Eggland's Best eggs, food, girl scout cookies, Gold Medal flour, granulated sugar, Green Giant, Hershey, Hershey Semi-sweet Chocolate chips, Jell-O, Jif peanut butter, Johnsonville, kosher salt, Kraft, land o lakes butter, McCormick spices, Morton salt, Oreo cookies, Pam Cooking Spray, Pepperidge Farm, peppermint extract, Philadelphia cream cheese, Powdered sugar, recipe, Sargento, thin mints, Thorn Apple Valley, Toll House, TruMoo milk, tyson, vanilla, vanilla extract, Vlasic, Wesson vegetable oil, whipped topping

Everyone loves Girl Scout cookies. The favorite hands down always seems to be the Thin Mints. This version is so simple you will make it over and over again. These would make really nice gifts when you go to visit family and friends or at Christmas time.

This version calls for another favorite of everyone and so you get a double delight in this cookie. Oreo cookies are the base of this cookie and that can be your own secret or you can let others think you whipped them up from scratch. Either way, anyone who gets a bite of these will think you’re the best cook in town. Serve them with a nice cup of hot tea or coffee for a mid day treat or an after dinner snack.

Mornings in our house can be a mad dash.  We wake up, get the kiddos ready, pack lunches and arrange book bags as we watch the clock to get them to school on time.  Because I work from home, you’d think I would have more time for a leisurely breakfast, but often I barely have time to grab a protein shake from the fridge before heading to my office for the day.

This recipe makes it easier to have a leisurely breakfast, and although it’s a bit indulgent, it’s absolutely worth it.  Grab your morning beverage and a slice of this bread before beginning your day and you’ll feel like you had a luxurious morning without spending the time to ACTUALLY have a luxurious morning!

Quick Tip – Make your mornings easier by slicing this bread as you make it and placing them in individual Ziploc bags, for easy grab and go.
