The first time I heard of this I just couldn’t believe it. I had to try – and it really works!

There are so many recipes that I use that call for marshmallow cream. Seriously, I’ve considered taking out a loan to buy stock in the white, fluffy goodness. Okay, maybe I’m not that far off the deep end, but I do use marshmallow fluff in a lot of desserts.

I’ve found that making my own fluff is much easier and less expensive than purchasing it every week. Do you want to know something else? It only takes TWO ingredients to whip up a batch of ooey, gooey marshmallow madness. I am not kidding! Just two ingredients! You are going to be so super surprised at what they are your head just might spin.

The best part is – this recipe really makes the most perfect, fluffy marshmallow cream you could think of. I guarantee, if you give this one a try you will never go back to your old ways again!

      Ingredients
1 (15oz) can Hanover chickpeas or white beans, with or without salt
1/3 cup Billy Bee honey or In The Raw agave OR 1/2 cup fine Domino sugar or xylitol (vegans: use the non-honey options)
Optional pinch McCormick cream of tartar, for stabilization
Feel free to add a little McCormick pure vanilla or almond extract

      Instructions:
Open the can of beans and drain the watery part into a stand mixer or a large mixing bowl. (Save the actual beans for a different recipe.) You should have about 1/2 cup chickpea liquid. Add all other ingredients, and beat with an electric mixer or in a stand mixer for 12-16 minutes. Cover and refrigerate any leftovers. It separates overnight, but re-beating works perfectly.

Any chance you know the amount it makes? Enough for a cake icing? Many banks

So bean juice, sugar, honey, cream of tartar, vanilla… Adds up to two ingredients ? New math

    • jessicafaidley April 25, 2017 at 12:34 pm Reply

The last two ingredients are optional. Meaning, you don’t have to use them in order to successfully make the recipe. So yes, it’s only 2 ingredients.

      • Jen June 18, 2017 at 9:58 pm Reply

No, there are 5 ingredients listed, if you do not have to use last 2 that still leaves 3 ingredients.
        New Math indeed…

Nope, she is not right…you are not being taken to another page. You are however seeing a pop-up ad that comes to your screen upon clicking on the NEXT PAGE link. Just click the X in the corner and it will go away in 2 shakes of a lamb’s tail 🙂

? you ladies who can’t find the Next Page in red. Enough already! Someone even gave you the recipe in the comments and you are still lost. Give it up already you obviously cannot follow directions so just go to the store and buy a jar of marshmallow crieme. That would be your safest bet!

What are chickpeas or white beans?

    • Sweetthing July 2, 2017 at 10:14 pm Reply

Beans. Chickpeas are also called cici beans or garbanzo beans. White beans are any white bean. You will find them with other canned beans in the grocery store.

      • Cathi July 16, 2017 at 12:40 pm Reply

Oh my soul. “What are chickpeas or white beans?” THAT made me LOL.

  19. CdnProf June 13, 2017 at 12:29 am Reply

I have no problem getting recipes from this site – EVER. I always click on the NEXT PAGE in red at the bottom. Funny how it works for most but not all??? Try turning on your ad blocker – you might find that this is the source of your problem and the reason for the extra clicks, though I’m no expert. Before everyone starts complaining about ads, bear in mind somehow or other the site has to be maintained.

  20. Vivian Coffman June 13, 2017 at 3:26 am Reply

So, can this be used instead of marshmallow creme in recipes? ({like Krispie Treats). Does it keep it’s consistency or does it separate, as stated if stored. . .same question for using it as a meringue? And, if you use it as a meringue, do you bake it like a regular meringue?

  21. Betty June 13, 2017 at 3:31 pm Reply

I must try this!!! Thank you!!!

  22. Dippyfrog June 18, 2017 at 4:30 am Reply

Please everyone, just ignore the whiney people who cannot follow directions, or can’t click once to reach a recipe. The more attention you pay to them, the more they will complain. Just carry on a civil conversation around them. Simple! Enjoy the site!

Hope you know that people who are allergic to peanuts and legumes are going to have a deadly reaction to this. They will think it normal marshmallow.

If they read the recipe they will realize that chickpeas or garbanzos or any other bean is a legume. If they are not aware of that, then that is not the fault of the recipe provider.
