A Danish Breakfast Specialty Which You Can Pop and Go!

Ingredients

2 cups buttermilk

2 cups Gold Medal all-purpose flour

2 large eggs, separated

1 1/2 tablespoons sugar

1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

powdered sugar, garnish

jam or fruit preserves, garnish

aebleskiver pan, puff pancake pan or mini muffin tin

I cannot get the directions for this recipe….this is the second time this week this has happened.
Helen, I had to go to 12 Tomatoes to get the recipe, Hope this helps. (But I too agree with you, this is happening more and more. It’s like someone isn’t copying the entire recipes…and NOT proof reading.
Aebleskiver Pancake Balls
Danish Pancake Balls
yields 2-3 doz.
Ingredients
2 cups buttermilk
2 cups Gold Medal all-purpose flour
2 large eggs, separated
1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
powdered sugar, garnish
jam or fruit preserves, garnish
non-stick spray
aebleskiver pan, puff pancake pan or mini muffin tin
Directions
1. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt in a small bowl and set aside.
2. In a large bowl, beat together the egg yolks and sugar until light and creamy.
3. Alternate adding flour mixture and buttermilk to eggs, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients.
4. In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form, then gradually add them to batter.
5. Spray aebleskiver pan (or mini muffin tin) with non-stick spray and heat over medium-high heat until hot; non-stick spray should sizzle.
6. Reduce heat to medium and add 1-1 1/2 tablespoons batter to each pancake mold.
7. Use a spoon or knife to run around the edges of the mold and flip pancakes when edges are golden brown and begin to bubble and pull away from the sides.
8. Cook other side for another 1-2 minutes.
9. Dust finished aebleskiver with powdered sugar and serve plain or with fruit preserves.
