My husband absolutely loves green beans and ham. I never really heard much ado about this meal in Michigan, where I grew up. Once I moved to Pennsylvania with my husband and children people acted like this dish was gold or something. Well, guess what, sister? it is!
In this recipe we indeed make green beans and ham in the slow cooker but we up the ante and toss in some red potatoes. This really makes the meal amazing! I have been told this is a southern staple but these Pennsylvanians sure do seem to like it and claim it as their own 🙂
