Whenever i think of prime rib roast I think of eating out at a nice restaurant. Never in a million years did I think i could make this yummy masterpiece at home in my own kitchen. But guess what? I did and so can you! I gave this recipe a shot a few weeks ago because I wanted to practice for the upcoming Christmas holiday. Instead of ham this year we are totally going to be dining on this yummy prime rib roast. When the meat was done cooking the smell alone was enough to put me in a food coma.

My husband was extremely impressed by how amazing this prime rib roast came out. he is very aprtial to having ham on the holidays and when he tasted the roast he said, “Okay, I can make an exception this year.” LOL Apparently, the prime rib roast hit his sweet spot. Sorry, ham, but you need to stay at the store this time. I followed the directions in this recipe to a “T” and the meat came out so super succulently. I hope you’ll give this recipe for prime rib roast a shot. You won’t be sorry!

Making healthy meals that your whole family will eat can sometimes be a major pain in the booty. I mean, when you’ve got a handful of people to please life in the kitchen can get pretty hairy. My husband has a limited amount of vegetables that he will actually eat and spinach is not on his list. The same goes for my three children who are all texture eaters. Just thought of cooked spinach makes them make those lovely gagging noises that all dramatic children love to make so much.

But, here’s the problem. Green, leafy veggies like spinach are packed full of nutrients and vitamins that growing children need. shoot, adults need these vitamins too! So, as a mom, I had to get clever with my cooking and sneak those healthy greens into their food. This hamburger and spinach casserole was a mega life saver. Granted, my family knew the spinach was in there because they could see it but the casserole itself tasted so good that they didn’t care. Yay!

The other day, I was chatting on the phone with my little sister. She lives in Michigan and i live in Pennsylvania. I try to talk with her as much as I can because, well, I miss her! We often discuss the meals we are making for the week as we both partake in the fine art of meal planning. Making up meal plans is the way to go in my mind because it saves time and money. If you have a shopping list and stick to it you will spend less at the grocery store.

Anyway, my sister said that she saw this amazing recipe called “Ultimate Chicken Casserole” and I was instantly intrigued. I love making casseroles and I love including protein in them such as wholesome chicken meat. The recipe calls for very basic ingredients and it isn’t hard to make at all. This lovely dish is a real time saver when you are a busy mom or dad looking to get a hearty meal on the table for your brood. I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I do 🙂

Meatloaf. It’s one of those amazing dishes that never gets old. You can always trust in good old meatloaf to bring your hungry family around the dinner table for a good old-fashioned dining experience. I like to serve my meatloaf dinner with mashed potatoes, corn, green beans, and freshly baked rolls. This particular meatloaf recipe is special because it is a vintage recipe and some say that it came from an old roadside diner out in Nevada. Can you imagine eating meatloaf in the desert after traveling all day? Sounds good to me!

I love the simple flavor combinations in this meatloaf. There aren’t any weird spices or odd pairings that leave you scratching your head. Just hearty, wholesome comfort food. And the best part about this recipe? It isn’t hard to make at all. It only takes the meatloaf about an hour to cook in the oven and before you know it you and your family will be sitting down to a wonderful family dinner together. Isn’t that what it’s all about, folks? Enjoy!

Growing up, my sister used to always make Monkey Bread for breakfast on Christmas Day.  It was a tradition in our family and it wasn’t Christmas morning without it. Nowadays, I don’t live with her anymore and I can’t have her traditional Monkey Bread breakfast, but my husband and I have this sticky bun breakfast ring over the holidays to keep the tradition alive. With Christmas is quickly approaching, I think I had better get that ring out and dust it off! Santa will be here soon 🙂

This is such a simple recipe, but oh so delicious.  You will want piece after piece until it’s gone.  And then after that?  You’ll want more and have to head to your local supermarket to get the ingredients all over again.  It’s perfect for breakfast, as a snack or for dessert. And, another great thing about this dessert is that you can double or triple the recipe is you are feeding a crowd. You’ll just need to get extra bundt pans. Enjoy!

Argo cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, barilla pasta, Bertolli extra-virgin olive oil, black pepper, Bob's Red Mill, Borden, brown sugar, Campbell’s soups, casserole, Chiquita, Clabber Girl, College Inn, Cool Whip, crock pot, Daisy sour cream, dessert, Dole, domino sugar, eat, Eggland's Best eggs, fisher nuts, food, Gold Medal flour, granulated sugar, Green Giant, Hershey, Hodgkin’s Mill, Jell-O, Jif peanut butter, Johnsonville, keebler, kosher salt, Kraft, land o lakes butter, Libby, McCormick spices, Morton salt, Pam Cooking Spray, Pepperidge Farm, Philadelphia cream cheese, Powdered sugar, recipe, Ritz crackers, Sara Lee, Sargento, Sloppy Joe Casserole, slow cooker, Thorn Apple Valley, Toll House, TruMoo milk, tyson, vanilla, vanilla extract, Vlasic, Wesson vegetable oil, whipped topping

One of my husband’s favorite meals is a good old, classic sloppy Joe.  I’m not sure if it’s because of the actual taste or the fact that he can be dirty and messy and it’s perfectly allowed.  Either way, we have these a lot around here.  It’s tasty, filling and let’s be honest, comfort food. I love how simple this meal is. I mean, for a casserole, there really aren’t too many ingredients. You just add everything to your baking dish and there you have it.

You know what’s even better than a yummy sloppy Joe?  A sloppy Joe casserole.  It keeps the mess contained on a plate and eaten with a fork.  My husband would definitely beg to differ as he prefers the mess, but I like this.  Everything cleanly contained while not sacrificing on the flavor. I think that my kids request Sloppy Joe casserole more often than any other meal. it’s tasty, it’s filling, and it’s seriously not sloppy lol! It’s a win-win situation.

I don’t know about you, but I absolutely adore eating almond Joy candy bars. The milk chocolate covering the sweet coconut patty is UH-MAZING! I also can’t get enough of the almond crunch that is lurking inside. However, I’m a bit of a cheapskate and don’t always like spending my hard earned pennies on overpriced candy. I think I will make a big batch of these bars up and give them away at Christmas time as gifts.

I wanted to find an easy way to make my own version of Almond Joy candy and that’s when I came across this recipe for chocolate almond coconut bars. At first, the recipe looked a bit daunting and scary. I don’t like making desserts that keep me in the kitchen all day, especially when it is during the hot summer months! Much to my delight, this recipe is a cinch to make!

Quick Tip: Lining a baking dish with waxed paper before making these bars is a good idea as it keeps them from sticking.
