I don’t know about you, but I absolutely adore eating almond Joy candy bars. The milk chocolate covering the sweet coconut patty is UH-MAZING! I also can’t get enough of the almond crunch that is lurking inside. However, I’m a bit of a cheapskate and don’t always like spending my hard earned pennies on overpriced candy. I think I will make a big batch of these bars up and give them away at Christmas time as gifts.
I wanted to find an easy way to make my own version of Almond Joy candy and that’s when I came across this recipe for chocolate almond coconut bars. At first, the recipe looked a bit daunting and scary. I don’t like making desserts that keep me in the kitchen all day, especially when it is during the hot summer months! Much to my delight, this recipe is a cinch to make!
