Certain foods really remind us of that quiet afternoon in our grandparents’ living room; where everyone was present and sitting in front of a fireplace, each with a glass of milk in hand. At the center of the coffee table, there were huge plates of cookies ready to be eaten as they with that warm glass of milk.
Our friend Darlene from All Recipes has this to say about this recipe:
“An old stand-by that the whole family loves.”
It is! Everyone just loves it. If you’re in doubt and don’t have an idea of what dessert to prepare for a large group of people you’ve known all your life, this traditional dessert is the most suiting recipe. It will lead you to a night full of laughter and fun caused by the lovely feeling of remembering your childhood.

1 teaspoon Clabber Girl baking soda
3/4 teaspoon McCormick ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon Morton salt
2 3/4 cups rolled oats
1 cup raisins
