3. Pecan Pie Bread Pudding

I am all for what I call “Franken foods” which are two popular dishes melded into one. This pecan pie bread pudding is just that. It is so sweet, moist and delicious and has that southern dessert charm all over it. I truly can’t think of a better meeting of sweets than this. You owe it to yourself to make this, eat this, then dream about this until you make it again – which is exactly what I’m doing!

Pecan pie is something I make without fail every holiday. My Nana made it, my mom made it, aunts and cousins, you name it! Living apart from everyone means I have that responsibility, plus the south has THE best pecans you’ve ever tasted. So making this pays homage to the pecan pie, but it’s perfect for breakfast! Since I normally make the pie during Christmas I plan to make this bread pudding around Thanksgiving time for brunch. I know we’ll have guests and I know they’ll love it!

Quick Tip: I keep my pecans very chunky because we just love them!
