I love, love, LOVE sweet potatoes. I can’t say I did as a child but in recent years I’ve fallen for the flavor. I like sweet potato fries, mash and more. That’s why I was excited to try this sweet potato soup!

I had never even considered switching out regular, Idaho potatoes for sweet to make this creamy concoction but I am over the moon with it. It’s everything you could imagine and more. I may try cooking some carrots in with it next time for an added flavor, not that it needs it.

I wasn’t even sure if my family would be on board, but after one very encouraged bite both my kids loved it. My husband said it was a nice switch from the other. We topped our bowls with a dollop of sour cream and crumbled some Ritz crackers on top. I especially liked the allspice in there. It was like eating a big bowl of fall – absolutely delicious!

Tender beef, flavorful broth, beans and more are all swimming together in this soup that will be an easy favorite for everyone in the family. I love soups because they are so satisfying and filling, and they last long! You can have soup for dinner, then save leftovers to heat up with lunch for a few days. Economical yes, but more so delicious! Plus, they are always so easy to throw together on short notice.

I keep a large repertoire of soups in my arsenal for fall and winter, and I just added this one because it’s spectacular! Whenever everyone enjoys a soup or meal you just have to make it again. This is one of those soups. Serve it up with some crusty, French bread with real butter and watch everyone say, “mmm!” You will be a star chef in the household with this one, I guarantee it!

There are few things I enjoy more than the meeting of two GREAT and delicious dishes. I’ve always been a fan of homemade chicken pot pies, spilling over with gravy, carrots and potatoes.

And of course I love chicken and noodles so this fettuccine recipe that has all the flavors of a pot pie is an easy winner in my book! I appreciate how simple it is to throw together on short notice, too.

The other day I was searching for something to make, since we are in full swing with school again and I am as always working my booty off I wanted a meal that would be whipped up quick and easy and this fit the bill! It smelled JUST like a pot pie! To add in that crusty goodness of the pie I cooked some quick rolls from Pillsbury and we had fresh bread alongside. It was hearty and satisfying for sure.

Not much gets better than pork chops and mashed potatoes as a home cooked meal, unless they are smothered in a creamy bacon sauce like these are. Oh my goodness they were addictive and just plain good.

I am so glad I made two per person because one would’ve just been disappointing. I wanted to roll around in this sauce it was so good! I have long been a fan of pork chops in many different ways, but I’ve never had them this way which is a surprise. In the south we like to smother our food with all sorts of things – gravy, grits, cheese… and so much more!

I’ve even had smothered chicken but never pork. Well, I guess there’s a first time for everything. There’s one thing I am absolutely sure of though, this will NOT be the last time I have them! They have that wow factor, and even my husband was impressed and he’s a picky eater.

I can’t even imagine anyone not loving salted caramel. It is so deliciously sweet and the salt just enhances the flavor believe it or not. I remember the first time I heard of the flavor I thought, what? Why on earth would someone put salt on caramel? Little did I know that it is the most perfect sprinkle for on caramels, EVER!

I indulge in salted caramel goodies all fall season long, until they are discontinued until the next year. Salted caramel ice cream, coffee, cookies and more are offered at the onset of fall and usually disappear in the spring. The good news is that you can always make something from scratch like these super easy crescents that not only are drizzled with this amazing flavor, but capture the essence of pecan pie! That’s right, there’s pecans too! If this isn’t a southern dream I don’t know what is!
