Take a look at what my friends over at the Recipe Station had to say about this fabulous banana cake with cream cheese frosting:

“Most of us have had banana bread, banana cake or some variation of this at some point in our lives. It’s a lip-smacking dessert that is a nice change of pace from the usual candy bar or other treat many of us rely on to satisfy our sweet tooth. Plus, it’s the ideal way to follow a hearty dinner!”

I don’t know about you guys, anything topped with cream cheese gains an automatic place in my heart. The rich, creamy flavor and texture of cream cheese frosting is one of life’s little joys 🙂

Want a simple cake to throw together that doesn’t lose any of the deliciousness you deserve? This is your winner. Gooey Butter Cake is the epitome of that “thing” you want but can’t figure out what it is. You know, when you wander through the store saying, I want something soft, baked, sweet… but not too sweet. Yep, this is it! This is my new go to dessert because it is just everything!

This cake bakes right up in a 9×13 inch cake pan. It’s not very time consuming but the result is wow. I was sold just by the picture. It didn’t disappoint! This one goes perfect with coffee in the morning or for a late night snack. You know what else it goes perfect with? My fork, in my mouth! Honestly, the rest of the family is lucky they even got a slice; they’re lucky I love them!

Every single person in my family prefers a confetti cake for their birthday, even my husband. I assume because it’s festive, because to me it tastes just like a white cake. Of course I’d never ruin that love for them and I happily make this for each one of them every year. Plus, I won’t deny that the fun appearance is cute. It kind of makes you feel like a kid again.

This last birthday belonged to my daughter, she just turned 20! Even though she’s married and on her own I still make her a birthday cake, and I decided to try the confetti cake from scratch. It turned out much more delicious – which is no surprise. Truthfully, it wasn’t much more effort either; it just uses your favorite yellow cake recipe. You could easily still use boxed if you so choose and save on time.

Quick Tip: Did you know they sell confetti ice cream too? Imagine that plate of cake and ice cream, how fun!

When I was little, my mom would take my hand and wait by the road for the ice cream truck to come around. It was such a difficult choice of which treat I wanted. Did I want the Nutty Buddy? What about the Strawberry Shortcake Bar? 9 times out of 10 I settled on the Neapolitan Ice Cream Sandwich.

I know exactly why, too. It had strawberry, vanilla and chocolate ice cream – all three with one choice. Now that I am older, I am a self-proclaimed cheesecake lover. You can only imagine how my face lit up when I found this Neapolitan Cheesecake; it was like all my childhood and adult sweet dreams came true! Best of all – it’s NO bake!

I am all about putting on large Sunday dinners that are filled with family, laughter, and great eats! When I was a little, my mother would always have a massive Sunday dinner planned that would greet our family members after the church service.

She’d often use her slow cooker, and by the time we pulled up in the driveway after church, you could smell the food cooking from outside. Yum! I have since carried on this tradition with my own family. This past Sunday, I prepared a garlic brisket in my Crock Pot, and boy oh boy, was it ever a hit!

It was so tender and juicy and paired well next to creamy mashed potatoes, sweet corn, and freshly baked bread. The best part about it was how easy the brisket was to make. You simply toss your ingredients into the slow cooker, set it, and forget it!

Quick Tip: If mashed potatoes aren’t your thing (how could they not be?!?!) toss a few sliced spuds and a handful of carrots into the slow cooker along with the brisket. Tasty!

Argo cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, barilla pasta, Bertolli extra-virgin olive oil, black pepper, Bob's Red Mill, Borden, brown sugar, casserole, Chiquita, chocolate chip danish, Clabber Girl, College Inn, Cool Whip, crock pot, Daisy sour cream, dessert, Dole, domino sugar, eat, Eggland's Best eggs, food, Gold Medal flour, granulated sugar, Green Giant, Hershey, Hodgkin’s Mill, Jell-O, Jif peanut butter, Johnsonville, kosher salt, Kraft, land o lakes butter, Libby, McCormick spices, Morton salt, Pam Cooking Spray, Pepperidge Farm, Philadelphia cream cheese, Powdered sugar, recipe, Sara Lee, Sargento, slow cooker, Thorn Apple Valley, Toll House, TruMoo milk, tyson, vanilla, vanilla extract, Vlasic, Wesson vegetable oil, whipped topping

When I was a little girl, my grandma used to let me tag along with her to the local coffee shop when she met with her friends from the church for breakfast. Everyone would always order eggs, pancakes, or omelets. However, grandma would let me have my pick of the lovely pastries that lined the bakery window.

Can you guess which pastry I’d always choose? The danish! Out of all the freshly made doughnuts and cookies, the cherry cheese danishes were my favorite. Cherry danishes have remained my favorite pastry for as long as I can remember; then I came across this recipe for chocolate chip danishes and changed my tune a bit. What’s not to love about chocolate and a cheese-filled danish? Nothing!

Quick Tip: Serve these danishes with a cup of piping hot coffee or cocoa.
