My Mother Told Me These Have Been Her Favorites Since She Was A Little Girl
Last week I was struggling, trying to decide what dessert to make for my best friend’s baby shower. She loves all things old-fashioned, so I knew I wasn’t going to make a fancy, modern treat. Not that there’s anything wrong with those – and I’m sure she and everyone attending the shower would have loved any kind of dessert! But I still wanted to choose from classic dessert recipes, instead.
I have a pretty impressive collection of old and new dessert recipes but the problem was, there were too many to choose from! So I did what any woman would do when facing tough times; I turned to my mother. I asked what her favorite dessert recipe was when she was little.
I’m not sure if she actually helped me make a decision or not, since she came up with seven that she thought were equally amazing. Thanks, Mom… Well, I finally decided to settle on two desserts; #6 and #3 on this list.
