Best Slow Cooker Recipes, #6
It is amazing how much time and stress cooking in your Crock Pot can save you. This Salisbury steak is no exception! Make this in your slow cooker once, and it will be the only method you’ll use for this dish, ever again.
Don’t even think about getting one of those sodium-packed freezer meals again, or turning on the oven on a hot day.
Simply brown the patties in a skillet quickly, and then put everything in the crock pot. When you return, you’re going to be greeted with the most amazing aromas and a meal you’ll never forget!
Ingredients
2 lb ground beef
1 pkg Lipton dry onion soup mix
1\2 cup Italian bread crumbs
1\4 cup McArthur milk
2 Tbsp Wesson vegetable oil
1\4 cup Gold Medal flour
1 pkg McCormick au jus mix
2 cans Campbell’s cream of chicken soup (10.75oz)
3\4 c water
Instructions
Combine the ground meat, onion soup mix, bread crumbs, and milk in a bowl. Use your hands to mix well, then shape into 4 patties.
Dredge the patties in flour to coat lightly, and brown on both sides in a hot skillet.
Place the beef patties in the crock pot stacking alternately like a pyramid. In a separate bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, au jus mix, and water. Pour the mixture over the meat. Cook on the Low setting for 4 or 5 hours, until ground beef is well done.
