French toast has always been one of my favorite breakfast meals.
My children and husband are partial to this little delight, too. However, there is some level of boredom associated with plain, run-of-the-mill french toast.
I mean, sometimes you just gotta spice things up a bit. That’s exactly what we did here with this cinnamon raisin bread french toast casserole recipe. This casserole is sweet and filling and perfect for starting your morning off right.
Don’t worry, you don’t have to get up at 3am to start making cinnamon raisin bread dough. We cheat a little and use the store bought stuff, which is fine by me because cinnamon swirl bread is uh-mazing. You just stack it all up in your baking dish and pile on the other ingredients.
The smell that wafts through your house as this breakfast casserole bakes is heavenly!
